The Bangkok Bar & Restaurant

Bangkok bar is a Thai restaurant and club space situated at the edge of the gay village. The restaurant is great with reasonably priced and tasty thai food. I recommend the tasting platters with fish cakes and spring rolls etc. But the real attraction of Bangkok bar for me is the nightclub space which is used to host a number of different nights such as the excellent electro-swing night 'Swing and Shout' which has live bands, hula lessons and great music till the early hours. A lot of the alternative gay pride events were held there last summer and it has also hosted Women in Comedy festival and a weekly sketching class. The beers on the bar could be a wider range of choices but thats mostly because they dont have real ales and Im not a lager fan. Otherwise, get yourself down to Bangkok and check out one of the many interesting nights it hosts!
