Was not expecting much with this place but I was really pleasantly surprised. We chose it for the location for Manchester Arena. The room was older looking with wonky floors but it was clean and well equipped. We stayed in a room for 3 which was small but enough for us for 1 night. The bathroom was small but functional. Towels and bedding were clean. Staff was really pleasant, welcoming and helpful on arrival and at breakfast. We enjoyed some drinks in the bar downstairs before and after we went out which were a little overpriced but enjoyable. The cooked breakfast was included, was self service and was good quality and choice. No we have found you we will definitely stay again next time we are in Manchester!
Basic, but a bit tired rooms but in a great location. Breakfast is very good if you like a fry up - nice sausages and bacon. Great hash browns but no black pudding, but it’s still great! 😋😋😋
Stayed for 3 nights midweek while on a pub crawl around manchester. Location is perfect for this. I had a single room on the top floor which was quite big and had a ensuite shower room. Like some reviews the hot water pressure was low in sink but ok in the shower, the building is over 200 years old. Breakfast included in my room was very good, 8-10.30am, full english but buffet style with other options. Staff very friendly. Its a pub restaurant on ground floor but i never heard any noise from my top floor room which was on the third floor, no lifts in the hotel. If i come back to manchester i would definitely stay here again. Room had all essentials in it apart from shower gel or shampoo just a bar of soap
