Snackwallah is really as it’s name is - the perfect place for a snack in Grainger Market. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was packed - had to wait 5 minutes before we could get a table.
We loved the food here! Indian street food which was quick, delicious and hearty. The masala chai was especially lovely. Portions were not too large, priced appropriately, and really worth it.
In total, our meal ( 2 meal/snacks + masala chai) was about £11. Really worth it!

Nice selection of Indian street food. We loved Pani Puri :) You get crispy shells filled with chutney, chickpeas, yoghurt. Then pour some masala water and eat it in one bite. It is so tasty and fun to eat. Looks very cute too!
Mango lassi was so great too!

Absolutely sensational!
The food here is fantastic and such good value for money. We had the curry of the day and an onion bhaji wrap for £11!
Authentic street food I would say with that western twist!
Fantastic and such a delight to see them in the Grainger Market still.

Obsessed with their Pickle Pakora Wrap! Amazing Indian street food packed with so much flavour. Went twice in two days and I can't wait to try the rest of their menu.

Great pit-stop in centre of Newcastle. Indian Street food and drinks. We had panoramic and bhel puri with chai. All made fresh and very tastey. Loved my masala chai. Will return.

Wallah a place to have a Snack!
I’ve been twice before but for some reason never left a review!
Just like it tasted when I travelled Southern India years ago. Authentic and simple with gobsmacking flavour. Never have I tasted Indian food this good in the UK north of London.
Curry Banquet of the Day £10. A spicy Dansak curry (white cabbage, tomato, cumin, garam masala, onion, red chilli and lentils) and rice with naan bread, the best daal in the Toon, 2 pakoras, 2 samosas, green chutney, tamarind chutney and mango chutney. You could have rolled me out the snack shack. Delightful.
Washed down with a good Masala Chai.
Would I recommend? Get there soon
Will I return? I have and I’m on a bungee now, so every time I hit the Toon it’s my go-to place.
Staff are lovely too.
Well done SW

Great vegan food. Quick service and a wide range of options to choose from. I had the mango lassi and daal with rice. I would go back again!

Nice Indian street food. Despite the queue didn’t have to wait long for a table as people eat and go. Fine to be there on your own. Pani Puri was a snack. If you want a proper lunch go for the curry deal.

Very good value, friendly staff and quick service. Food was served promptly and it was all hot as well as fresh. Cutlery and seating could both have been a bit more user friendly

Wonderful place to stop for small bites or a full meal. Staff are super friendly, dishes are full of flavor, service is quick. The angel Puri and Samosa Daal were fantastic. Highly recommended for a quick stop!

Really tasty, generous portions and quick service. We visited an hour before closing so the naan was a bit dry but otherwise delicious. Apart from the Curry Banquet (£10) we had a pakora wrap (£5) which was also very generous and tasty, though could’ve had more sauce in.
Excellent value for money so would definitely visit again!

One of the most heart warming places to grab a bite in Newcastle. Tucked in the grainger market, this is a popular choice for locals and tourists.
Food: With every visit, I find that the food only gets better each time. It took me a while to realise that everything on the menu is vegan. It is surprising how they've managed to serve great chai with vegan milk. They use whole spices in their food. This brings out the authenticity of the dishes. I had the curry banquet today. It was a well priced experience overall. I love the fact they have a rotating menu for curry of the day. Do lookout for specials over the weekend. I have had vada pavs and dosas in the past.
Service: The staff is extremely friendly. The speed is quick. It is lovely to see the food served in stainless steel utensils. I think that was the cherry on the top for my experience.
Atmosphere: The place was clean and spotless. It is a beautiful place with decorative tokens just to remind me of home.
Thank you for the wonderful experience. It is great to have such a place to go to in Newcastle city centre.

Amazing food (great pani puri), and such a lovely atmosphere and staff! 🙏🏼💓

I had the samosa chaat here, it is pretty close to the authentic flavours. The only downside was that I felt the chickpeas dominated the samosa plate more than the samosa, flavour wise it was a delight.

They had ran out of the main curry so we had Daal with rice and a bhaji wrap, washed down with lassi and masala chai.
Its outstanding.
The only thing I would say is it's possibly too cheap.
Add £1 to everything and I bet they wouldn't loose custom it really is that good.
An asset to the market.

Oh my GOD, had Pani Puri for the first time and I'm convinced I got transported to heaven! Nicest thing I've ever eaten, my other half had this sick sandwich with potato in it! Unreal. Place is such a vibe, super cool.
