Called in for a very good breakfast before catching the train home after a weekend in Newcastle. Full breakfast was very good and friendly staff helped for an enjoyable hour in pleasant surroundings. I'll keep it in mind for future visits.

I am so glad to have discovered this thanks to my work mates! Working in the vicinity nearby, I often stop here for lunch with my workmates (usually on a Friday). The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is second to none, and the food is amazing! Liz (one of the servers) is absolutely lovely and she always greets our group cheerfully and with a smile on her face! Two of my favourites is their lasagna and their fish and chips. For dessert, me and my workmates keep craving for their apple pie! Absolutely *chefs kiss*. They also have a lot of options if you're a feeling peckish. They have a variety of sandwiches, quiches and soups to try - even some cakes and pastries that you can see displayed behind a glass counter. For drinks options, they also offer a variety of coffee, tea and soft drinks. Anything and everything to suit everyone's palate! If you're not sure which one to pick, Liz also makes great recommendations! Food is really delicious and good quality, and you don't even have to spend a fortune! Absolutely love coming here - and the next time I do, I'll make sure to take photos, to add to this review!

Quaint & traditional. Well worth a visit & Nice & respectfully quiet with no banging music or TV chatter going on, just nice background "people" conversations. Food & scones, cake etc etc to enjoy. These might be the work of Angels.

Local art for sale, good value coffee and food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Served my espresso with water unasked, which is worth a sixth star.

Lovely hidden gem of a cafe. Lots of tasty options and daily specials. Breakfasts, quiche, sandwiches, hot meals. Staff are all welcoming and the food is very fresh and generous portions. My office is a couple of minutes walk away so I call in a couple of times a month for a lovely lunch in calm yet still jolly surroundings. There's a nice ambience about the cafe and great for a catch up with friends or a quiet half hour on your own.
