Had a brunch catch up with a couple of friends and the three of us really enjoyed our food
I had the olive tapenade breakfast which is yummmy and very filling!
It’s great to go somewhere on our catch ups where i know i can get plant based food.
These guys are the best, food is stunning, they do pretty damn awesome coffee and a their teas are dreamy (I'd try the cloud catcher tea ) I spend that much time there my profile photo (at the time of writing) features The Journey very heavily! Much love!
Very warm welcome from staff & the owner Adam, couldn't do enough for you.Delicious food, so tasty & plenty of it. Excellent drinks, lovely sitting outside in the sun, love the interior & great music playing, thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Definitely give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Cool cafe with seating inside and on the street outside. Popped in for lunch, pleasant service and ambience. I had the homemade lemonade which was mostly ice so I probably wouldn't get that again. However, for food my partner and I both had the Hash Bowl and damn it was soo good! We both felt it was so nice to get some legit vegan food which isn't mock-meat based, just a hearty and hella delicious plate of vegetables. We'll definitely be back, perhaps in the evening next time.
First visit, and will be back. Interesting menu for food and drinks. Friendly staff. Delicious food.
A great place if you don't like the hustle and bustle ... Vegan cuisine is simply amazing ... I recommend it!
A very good place for dining, it's just a bit further from the hustle and bustle of the high street, which gives it a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The food is good if you are looking for vegetarian or vegan bite. Good place to take your date, colleagues or friends. I was surprised by the hand drawn portrait of Mahatma Gandhi on the wall, not great but the decency of choosing such a legend over any random art makes the place unique.
I love this place. The food is fantastic and the cocktails are incredible. The staff are all really kind and friendly. It is also really stylish and has a great veggie and vegan menu. It is one of my favourite cafes in Newcastle! :)
favourite place! great for coffee, pints or cocktails & slowly making my way through the food menu - all 10/10! lovely atmosphere & lovely staff, great for community meet ups etc. (the gays love it here <3 )
First time in a vegetarian establishment, I'm not a vegetarian but I love vegetarian food when done well. Have at least one vegetarian day a week but struggle to find anywhere decent near home. Journey did not let me down. Great food, lovely vibe. If this was near my home I would be upping my veggie days. Thanks.
Journey has always been great everytime we've called there, regardless of whether it's been for a weekday coffee or for drinks on a Saturday night. Loads of choice for drinks and food and a really nice atmosphere, with a dj on weekends. I can't recommend the Sourdough and Hummus enough, I don't know what they put in their hummus but it's the best I've had anywhere!
Nice position in town, especially on a sunny day. Menu (on the day I went) was 100% vegetarian or vegan. Very relaxed vibe. The meal I had (Moroccan hummus) was beautiful, and the coffee was great, too. They operate a bike shop under the same roof which I'll check out next time. Suffice to say the place is very cyclist friendly. From memory there are steps leading up to the main entrance. There may be a wheelchair accessible entry, but if there is I didn't see it.
