Excellent Sunday market, road closed off, so easy to navigate. Amazing range of market stalls, food stalls amazing and very diverse. Great views from the market along the Tyne. Lovely walk. Worth a visit.

We stumbled upon the market early on a cold Sunday morning as we were preparing to leave the city. Half of the market was only just setting up so we didn't get to see everything it had to offer, however there was still plenty available from hot drinks like coffees and hot chocolates, to German sausages and burgers. There were plenty of souvenir stalls where we bought a few last minute gifts.

Now I give this 5 stars as it's well worth a visit .but I remember the old quayside where you went before Sunday lunch for a bargain .these days it's all money .some lovely stalls .I did go to the street food little caravan got pulled beef with sticky rice was very nice for £10. I also went had my fortune told for £5 not a lot to say .to be honest you could say anything she had a answer ,ha ha .she also does a fuller version for £10 . Great views and worth a visit

Great market place in newcastle to visit on a Sunday morning. Lots of great street food stalls . Our favourite is SLACKJAWS burgers made with Aberdeen Angus beef . The guy who who runs this is great and the burgers are so nice. Freshly made with a nice brioche bun and fresh salad and toppings. Would recommend trying them. Lots of market stalls to look at and loads of cakes etc to buy I also saw jars of honey stalls . Art stalls and many more. Would be nice to have a few extra clothes stall maybe. But it's a good market with a great atmosphere. Also has buskers which are good people singing and one man playing saxophone was brilliant. It's busy and It's well worth a visit 😊

Never been before, how has that happened, only found out about it recently. Lots of little stalls selling decent Nik naks, Levi's second hand stall, jewellery stalls, smellies, bit of clothing, bags everything you'd expect from a decent market. Huge amount of food stalls from cup cakes to halloumi wraps from around the world, the choice is brilliant veggie, vegan and of course meat choices too. Sat on the steps, under the Tyne to eat with everyone else, I'm sure Vera found a body down there once 😂. Definitely worth a Sunday out.

Came up for the weekend and stumbled on this great Sunday market. The whole place was buzzing and so many stalls to look at for gifts and souvenirs, plus loads of places selling sweet treats and a section of fantastic street food vendors. So much choice we struggled to choose and ended up going to 4 different places! Will be returning the next time I am in the north east on a Sunday for sure!
