The hangover crumpet is something special. I’ve been for many of the classic breakfasts places in Newcastle and this is easily my favourite so far. The cakes are phenomenal too.

An incredibly reliable spot for breakfast! Staff are always super friendly, service is quick and food never disappoints! They also have a cracking display of sweet treats, cakes and brownies for those who love to indulge in the naughtiness!

Best service ever! The Japanese Tempura Cod stands on its own as an established entity. I’ve nothing to fault but I want to note that I’ll be back soon .

Came here for a NYE meal with my boyfriend. We had the bread to start, both had the burger and a few cocktails, and took a cake each home. It was our first time at Arlo and we will def be back! The food was so fresh and delicious, it was really cute inside and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Would def recommend. (Also the red velvet cake I took home was AMAZING!) Thank you to all the staff for a lovely evening :)

Lovely cosy place! They were incredibly responsive and accommodating of my odd plant based requests 😆 the menu offered two plant based options for breakfast: the now traditional avocado toast and a breakfast that can be adapted to plant based. No scrambled tofu or the likes but still great experience, everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Came in this aft (30/04) and no tables except at the bar so left to try elsewhere. Quickly realised nowhere else we wanted to be so went back and managed to get a table after being sat at the bar for about 5 mins. Had the masala flat bread and partner had the burger. Both delicious. Lovely venue and friendly staff too. Would recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easily one of the best brunch spots in Newcastle. Super casual dining attracting everyone from students after a hangover cure to business lunches. Food options and quality is outstanding and is only outshone by the service.

My husband and I were staying at Jesmond Dene House and decided to go for a wander. This place does the most amazing Chocolate brownies… I hadn’t been since it’s been renovated and it’s fab inside! We only popped in to get a brownie to takeaway.. but the lovely gent persuaded us (easily) to stay for a cheeky drink too. Lovely friendly staff and great size inside to sit with friends / loved ones.

Called in on an impromptu trip. Very busy before Christmas, still the staff were friendly, welcoming, happy and attentive. Service was great throughout. I had breakfast (Turkish eggs with steak..) which was amazing. I can’t fault the experience, service or the food. Worth a detour for!!

I went for breakfast with my daughter and her boyfriend. Myself and my daughter ordered the Giant Hangover Crumpet and the boyfriend ordered a Full English Breakfast. Also ordered 2 bottles of Ginger Beer and a bottle of Diet Coke. Everything came swiftly and I can honestly say if there's a better breakfast on Tyneside I've yet to see it. Absolutely outstanding food, lovely staff, and fairly priced. Will be going back ASAP. 10/10
