Promised the family fish and chips while on the island and today we went to stotesburys as highly recommended. We were not disappointed cooked fresh as we waited huge portion and had to try scampi and panko prawns absolutely delicious. Deserving of 5 stars. You wont be disappointed.

Great food, great staff & Great staff. Best bit of Cod and Chips I've had in many a year. I have fond memories of this shop many years ago, and it is just as good as then.
The portions are very generous. It's definitely a place to visit and an experience to savour.
I will return. I live on the North Island now but like to return home to visit family and friends.

Best fish and chip shop on the Isle of Wight. Tasty food, affordable prices and a very friendly and helpful service. The staff are happy to serve every customer and always go the extra mile to make all their customers satisfied. The portion sizes are excellent and the food is very tasty and always fresh. Wait times are sometimes longer but then again, this is probably owing to everything being cooked to order. Highly recommend visiting this fish and chip shop for an experience you'll be happy with!

Traditional fish and chip shop. Can be a bit of wait for your order and sometimes you have to queue outside. The staff are friendly but be advised they only accept cash. The quality of the chips can be a bit sporadic too which is a shame. The last ones we bought were very crispy but incredibly greasy and not very edible. The pie on the other hand was cooked really well, not soggy and almost like it had been cooked in an air fryer. On other occasions the chips have been brilliant.

the service here is absolutely amazing, very friendly and chatty staff. everything is pretty much cooked to order so there is a bit of a wait but it’s definitely worth it as the food is amazing. definitely the best chippy in the isle of wight!
