I regularly come last Thursday of the month with some friends for the pub quiz night. All four of us enjoyed the carvery, the cakes were fantastic as usual and the pub quiz was a good laugh as always. Staff are always polite and friendly and a few came over to meet our dog that comes with and he is always treated well!

This was my first visit and I popped in to work from here for the day whilst my car was in for service with VW Newport, and the service was very friendly. Place is immaculate and very popular. I chose to have a carvery for my lunch and the deck was very clean, I had gammon and beef as my choices and all the veg. Super tasty and definitely will be back again. Never had a bad experience in this pub. Staff are always accommodating even if you don’t have a booking they will do their best to seat you as quickly as possible. Massive shout out to Clare who was amazing to my Nan when working the carvery, she was kind, caring and patient (my Nan is not very mobile). Clare made my Nans and our family’s Sunday lunch such an enjoyable afternoon. But watch out, Clare can be cheeky when working the weekday evening shifts

Special shout out and recognition to Jazz who served us, absolutely top lad hard working, friendly, polite, respextful, so lovely. And Kelly and the manager too. But team Jazz ultimately. 😊 the girl who popped out to check allergy or dietary regarding my dessert choice. Everyone was really good with me. Would like more understanding and comfort to speak up about my non-binary identity but pretty decent food considering. 😋😋😋😋😋👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely great experience. I hadn't seen the restaurant since long before the recent renovation and it looks so spacious and nice inside, with a great vibe. Staff were really helpful. It was a bit noisy but what can you expect from the 5pm window. The wait for food was 30 minutes, which as far as I'm concerned is reasonable for the time of day we booked. Food was really nicely put together. We both had burgers that were compactly made with not bits that were falling out, and it tasted great. Chips were very fresh and crispy and it was a decent portion. Can't complain at all, especially with the 30% off voucher.

Stopped in for a bite to eat. I would highly recommend the fish & chips and or the ham, egg & chips as those dishes are amazing. My partner had the hunters chicken melt, it was tasty but unfortunately it was quite bland. Other than that, the staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is nice! I would recommend a visit!

The waitress Mazz was really good, And Stevie brought us our delicious food, The mega mixed grill was a plate of fun, Would feed me, my dad and mum! With sausage and steak, chicken and egg too, and mushrooms and chips to name just a few. You'd think that I couldn't fit in cake, but no, you'd be making a mistake! A lovely time was had by all of us, the atmosphere and food were great with no fuss. My cake is here now and my wife has started eating, I need to go eat some before she is beaten!!!!

A marstons pub with plenty to offer. Plenty of seating outside and there's even s small play area for young children. Inside the pub was busy and had a good atmosphere with family and friends enjoying their food. The menu was big and catered for everyone and all ages and diet. The carvery was fresh , piping hot and tasted absolutely delicious. Well worth a visit. Even accepted the blue light discount card.
