Sheppards, my favorite fish and chips shop, consistently delivers a delightful dining experience that keeps me coming back for more. From the moment I step inside, I'm greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that exudes a cozy, seaside charm Their fish and chips are second to none. The fish is always impeccably fresh, encased in a crispy, golden batter that's simply heavenly. And those chips, perfectly cooked to a satisfying crunch on the outside while maintaining a fluffy interior, are the ideal accompaniment But it's not just the food; it's the friendly staff who make Sheppards truly exceptional. Their attentive service and genuine enthusiasm for their craft shine through, making each visit feel like a warm reunion with friends Sheppards is more than just a fish and chips shop; it's a treasured culinary gem that consistently delivers on quality, taste, and hospitality. It's no wonder it's my go-to spot for the best fish and chips in town

Best fish and chip shop we have found since moving to newport. It’s a 10 minute drive for us but worth every minute. Food is always fresh and hot. Chips are cooked in excellent, my wife says the fish is excellent. The sweet / fruity curry is a must. Staff are amazing as well as friendly and organised.

Clean, friendly and very efficient. Even the customers in the queue were happy to strike up a conversation. Haven't been here in a very long time - but will be back! Proof the people from South Wales are very friendly. PS - the fish and chips were awesome❤

Tasty but tight on portions. A large chips doesn't stretch to 2 people as they do everywhere else
