The Coffee House

Cute little place staffed by very friendly folks. Was going to Local Ocean but decided to stop here to try somewhere new. This is a very cozy, bright, and inviting place and it was clean. I had crab cakes with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. The fries were fried just right and not too crunchy or soggy. Overall a great experience and will be back again next time I am in the area.

Amazing food and HUGE portions. I have eaten at high end restaurants with well known Michelin star chefs and this is some of the best food I’ve ever had. They catered my nephews wedding and even my picky son (21) said it was the best salmon he’s ever had. Both the reception food and the brunch at their cafe the next day was exceptional. Fresh squeezed orange juice was such a treat.

Cute little restaurant. Staff was super friendly and food came out fast. While my wife and I waited for our food, we got to enjoy our drinks. I had a white chocolate cappuccino and she had a hot cocoa. These were amazingly delicious. We got our food and it was not a disappointment. Mine was nice and hearty. But my wife had the strawberry French toast. Not many dishes make me happy, but the French toast put a glowing smile on mine and my wife’s face with every bite!!

This incredible restaurant provided the best quality and quantity of food we have experienced in the Newport area. The service was the friendliest and the food was fresh, tasty and hot. Did I mention the view of the harbor was incredible? They serve you coffee in huge, double sized 16 Oz coffee mugs, like the old largest A&W mugs if you remember those. Very cool. The food is obviously fresh, nicely cut, perfectly prepared and seasoned just enough to bring the flavor out and presented tastefully and artfully. Nice ample portions and everything was steaming hot and served as you'd want it to be. Wow!! These people know what they are doing. Diners and Drive-Ins cooking show should come here and find out their secret formula. The enclosed front porch has overhead heaters and a view you won't soon forget. It stays warm above, but can be a bit chilly down below, so bring a lap blanket for maximum comfort. Great menu to choose from. We will make this our new regular "go to" restaurant in Newport. We can't wait to come back. Amazing!!!! 5 stars!!
