We chose York Street Cafe for our weekend date night and we were not disappointed. The ambiance is certainly unique with it's dimly lit dining room and shelves full of old toys and antiques. The service was excellent and bottled beer was brought out in a frosted mug (very nice touch). The bread we had as an appetizer was delicious, and the burger was huge and very filling. Only regret was that we didn't have any room for dessert, but will have to try that the next time we stop in.

What can I say about York St. Cafe? Romantic rendezvous, house of eclectic vibes, pure delicious cooking. I have never been disappointed in my several visits. Today was my first experience for lunch. Driving by, realized I was here and when in Rome, you eat at York St. I cannot express how much enjoy this quirky and amazing restaurant. Tbh, I hesitate to spread the word, because selfishly, I want nothing to change! Alas, great places will always do well, and the more people who are the right fit that can experience this place, the better.

Incredible ambiance. Attentive wait staff. Beautiful menu. I had the fish special and it was incredible. My son loved the burger. The best part was the unreal peanut butter pie. We will be back soon for more pie. Had a nice dinner with family. Great energy and welcoming dining environment.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! When we walked in we were welcomed by a very professional host. He was incredibly nice and made us feel very comfortable. We ordered their seasonal fish and it was out of this world. It was the greatest fish you can get in the area. Absolutely incredible! Their ribs were absolutely amazing as well. The atmosphere is very welcoming, it is quiet and beautiful.

Have gone here for years. We went last night before seeing Bonnie and Clyde across the street. I had the mussels and they were fantastic. Great salad. My husband had the filet - it was very good. Service (Kelly ) was great. Always look forward to coming here. One of our favorites.

Hands down the best restaurant in Cincinnati. Religiously good food every. Single. Time. The owner has fresh seafood flown in weekly so if you see any seafood on the menu, know it is fresh. My husband and I have “date night” every Wednesday, so we eat out A LOT. York Street Cafe is always our go to when we’re feeling like good food and not experimenting. A loyal customer forever.

Ate here for the first time and it wasn't the best food considering their prices are outrageous! Our waiter wasn't good as well as the owner was a creep! (Find him staring multiple times in a corner) the seating is insanely close to others and small enough for toddlers no room for your food! It is packed with old and dusty items on shelves along with creepy numerous dolls and doll halves! The lighting is so dark you can barely see what you're eating! Had the pork chop which was brick hard and burnt so I didn't even eat it. Salad was good though. Never to return!

Server brought me extra alcoholic beverages without asking, and when our food arrived, everything was cold, no exaggeration. Filet was overcooked. Owner brought us new mashed potatoes that went from cold to hot in 2 minutes, so they obviously microwaved what they already had prepared. My wife ate dinner while I waited for my medium rare filet to be recooked which took too long, then I too ate by myself after they recooked my plate. We were the second table seated for service so there was no reason for the delay. Demi glace was ok but the bernaise was the worst I have ever tasted. The owner apologized profusely, and we were given $30 off as an inconvenience fee. All said and done we were thoroughly let down by our experience, and despite the owner's attempts at making things right, we will not be back. Perhaps the other dishes are better, but I would definitely not order a steak from here. Our bill after the discount was over $120, which is far too much to pay to not eat dinner with your date. We waited an hour and forty-five minutes there to be served a rare and medium rare steak, way too long in this diner's opinion. Server was nice, but unprepared and couldn't pronounce the names of the dishes properly. Perhaps I'm nitpicking at this point, but this meal fell flat in nearly every way possible. On a side note, the bread basket appetizer was quite good.
