Food was actually really nice & came out quick. Service was friendly, didn’t have the carvery due to previous bad experience(s!) at Kings Mill farm, I know it’s a different establishment within the same chain.
Anyway had the sweet chilli chicken and halloumi burger. Perfectly acceptable.
Friend had the fish and chips and it didn’t look great but he said it tasted better than it looked.
Service really friendly, attentive, cheery and genuine from all staff members that we came across.
Drinks were expensive (as they are in green kings) but still nice.
Puddings are where it’s at and I love the 3 scoops of ice cream of the most amazing flavours / toppings going.
Look forward to going back!
It's a themed rustic dining experience and carvery.
Be sure to book in advance otherwise chances of being seated are slim especially at peak times. Especially Sunday's. Service is good, atmosphere wants to be relaxed, but you'll notice staff clocking how long you are at a table. Urging you either to keep ordering drinks or get the bill as their tactic to move you on.
We don't go very often but I always enjoy the carvery ( vegetarian pie option this time) when I go. There's food my food sensory sensitive son will eat and it's good value for money. Staff are always friendly enough too which helps add to the experience. Overall decor is a tad dated/ tired now and toilets although clean were missing paper in the dispensers. But the food especially the carvery is so good that minor niggles can be overlooked especially as it's somewhere I know my son can tolerate and enjoy especially sitting in the booth seats he will only sit there because the lighting level is bright enough for him I think.

I've been back for the carvery a few times now, it is very good, lot's of choice. You pay a little more on a Sunday, but they are still serving carvery weekdays!
More recently, breakfast buffet, yum! Don't stock up too much. The eggs are round the corner!
Seems like the same staff doing a fab job, more staff needed on the bar.

Popped in for a quick brunch and wasn’t disappointed! Mrs had the all day breakfast; the eggs were perfectly cooked, hash browns lovely and crispy and the mushrooms were awesome. I had the beer battered fish and was pleasantly surprised by the ultra flakey fish. Coral was also absolutely lovely and accommodating! Definitely recommend for a quick great priced lunch.
Had a full breakfast here yesterday and I was surprised when I was charged as I expected it to be more money.
Excellent value and food was nice and a big variety of breakfast items all well presented and the staff were friendly too.
It wasn't too busy for 10am on a weekday either, there was plenty of seating options and I didn't have to wait to be served.
We got there just before the carvery opened and it was worth the wait. Lovely food and great service. Coral was our waitress and she's very friendly, polite and helpful thanks 😊
The steak and ale pie was really good and very generous portions! We also enjoyed the lasagne very much, just the right amount of cheese sauce, tasted as good as home cooked! Staff was wonderfully welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely go back!
Standard carvery serving pub, food was good.
Breakfast buffet is on a only go once thing. Me I was happy with that, got given a small plate instead of standard but was still well filled up.
Unlimited toast helped although the lack of marmalade is reflected in my score.
A very very special mention to staff member Michelle, who was amazing at breakfast, and when I returned later in the evening was still working, clearly tired and exhausted but still offering her beautiful smile and customer service. 🎩 Take it off to you
Nice place food was good. Good outdoor area. We went for a carvery and there was lots to choose from. Only minor issue was that more attention could be given at the pass as we paid for some extras that my partners daughter didn't get. We didn't get this addressed because she was half way through eating when we realised, so it is just a note for the future. Would definitely go again though.
