Love the decor. Great music. Fab service. Not overpriced. If you want a rock bar then this place is ideal. Bonus is that the toilets are actually very clean and nice unlike most rock bars 😆
Proper authentic old school dive bar. Great drinks offers, good music, live bands, friendly staff and even has Donkey Kong. A wonderful hidden gem.
Really liked it. Friendly. Decent music (if you like rock - who in their right mind doesn't?). Rocking a rock aesthetic. Felt very comfortable. Saw a gig at The Theatre Royal - came back here after for a cheeky Guinness before heading up to Bedfordshire! Sweet dreams.
Took about 15 minutes to get served was before an event but staff were really helpful and attentive to drink orders. Not too bad on the Wallet either. Definitely worth visiting if you're into metal pubs.
This pub has great character perfect for alternative rock/metal lovers! Great atmosphere on a Friday night. Amazing art inside and out. Lively band on also. Great service from staff who did a fantastic job of dealing with a huge rush of people piling in from Rock City post gig! 🖤🖤🖤
Great little venue, staf are friendly and it's a genuine rock/metal pub. Set up for live music is a bit odd as there is no 'stage' and the performance area is actually lower than the crowd area, it's also right next to the entrance and exit to the smoking area.
Great place, proper hard n heavy pub!
We played a gig there last weekend, part of Mangata Festival an we had a blast (HEREWARD)
Popped in for a pint prior to going to a gig , first time in and was surprised , decor is what you expect for a metal/rock bar loved it , looks like plenty of free rock shows ie bands playing so definite plus. Most definitely going to revisit and make a night of it . I now don't have to travel to the Dev in Camden to get a good rocking night out 🖤☠💀🤘P.S didn't eat and don't know if they have a menu hence no stars
Came here to watch some live bands and had a great time 🤘#FaceOfAStranger
Stumbled upon this place as we were looking for an alternative place to visit whilst in Nottingham.
Quite a small venue but it wasn't super busy.
Turns out there were live bands playing that night. Was great to see a mix of alternative music, we really enjoyed ourselves.
The only con was the music was a bit too loud, to be expected with live music, but was almost deafening at some points.
Loved the added touch of the jukebox, and was nice to hear our requests come on so quickly.
We ended up going back and daytime was quieter.
Would absolutely recommend, if going to see live music though, wear plugs to protect your ears. 🖤
