Hickory's Smokehouse Nuthall

Unfortunately was just a quick pop in before getting a train back to Kent. First time here and certainly won't be the last! Menu looked great lots of American style food to choose from. Cocktails looked lush to so definitely coming back when I'm in notts again and can stay longer 🫶🏻. I got the corn dogs and grape soda which was lush! Little pork scratchins sprinkled over was a touch! My bestfriend had ribs and wings which of course I tasted and they were also amazing. Decor is awesome, Staff super friendly and attentive, couldn't fault anything tbh. Excited to come back

Stopped for a meal after work, not knowing what to expect. From the moment we walked in, it was a great experience. The service was excellent , the food arrived quickly and was delicious, authentic barbecue. We tried the platter for 2 so we could try everything which was a great way to do it. The barbecue sauce ribs and brisket were the highlights for us, so much flavour and so tender! The drinks on offer both alcoholic and non alcoholic range was quite extensive and unique. Well worth the price

Having passed this on our way to Nottingham on a Saturday we decided to see if there was any availability on our way back. It seemed very busy but we were happy to be seated at the kitchen bar. The atmosphere was really good and suited the type of establishment. Even though it was busy service was not slow and it wasn't too loud to make our orders or hear options. We had a peach ice tea and cherry cream soda to drink- both of which were large and very tasty. For our mains we had barbecue ribs and Texas brisket. The brisket was extremely tender and the ribs were excellent. Both were a decent portion size- if I were to have the brisket again I probably would upgrade my fries with the magic mix as I perhaps found I need some spice to go against the brisket and gravy. We would highly recommend a visit and I would definitely book ahead next time as it is very popular.

Amazing food (meat could be served hotter but it does say it’s served warm on the menu). Dipping Gravy I could of had a bucket full. Milkshakes are the best. Kids loved it and are made to feel very welcome. 2 adults & 2 children £100 so was pricey but the food is tasty. Recommend the brisket & maple shake 😍. Only downside is we was a party of 13 and a tip of £23 was added to the bill without us being informed of this, make sure you check the receipt.

Food was fabulous! We had three courses and each course was just as good as one another, lovely to see a good range of food types as 'American' restaurants can often be samey! If you have anything, try the corn dogs! We sat outside with our pup and the staff were super friendly and accommodating- our puppy Maple even got her own piece of beef brisket which she loved, thank you! Only query is the smoking areas need to be more clearly marked. I was under the impression that there was a smoking area and then the rest of the outdoor area was non-smoking, however several people came and smoked near to where we were sitting which isn't great. If this is in fact a smoking area then it would have been good to have our expectations managed and we might have sat elsewhere. Otherwise, the restaurant is 10/10 for us! Even the decor is super unique, I found myself looking at some of the artists for prints they had - it was a fab evening

My 1st time here. It did not dissapoint! Great lively atmosphere, friendly staff. Even found they had a cinema room to entertain the kids with free popcorn 🍿 They do a sharing platter for 2, and I was delighted to find they also did a smaller version for 1. Previous places I've visited have not had that option. So very happy 👌

It is an amazing place. The food is just delicious. Hospitality is on the high level 👌 inside is a little cinema room for kids WOW.. outdoor playground and lots of spaces for time out with family, friends, or any special occasion. We're celebrating the wedding anniversary and was so surprised, but don't tell why - you have to go and see it. Definitely come back again !

We've been to Hickory's four times now, and it's quickly become a favorite for our date nights. The American-style décor is warm and inviting, and the food is absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are generous, so you won't leave hungry. The service is always excellent. Our servers have been friendly and attentive, and they've always made sure that we have everything we need.
