What a fabulously gorgeous cafe this is! I was looking for some good coffee while my friend was looking to get some beer. Since we were suggested this cafe by a friend of ours who had been to Oxford earlier, we trusted her and went ahead.
Boy, the coffee they served was fabulous! With that I had ordered some chicken cheese fries and my friend had ordered a beef burger. I do not eat beef, hence, I could not try the burger but the chicken cheesy fries were awesome! 💕 Coupled that with the wonderful Cappuccino, my lunch was awesome. Also, the staff who took the order and the girl who served us, both were amazingly courteous and friendly. Thanks, girls!

Lovely trendy bar near the train station. Great atmosphere with a good selection of food and drinks. It was nice to see a mix of all ages eating drinking and having a good time. Friendly staff who welcomed us in when I was looking a bit lost for somewhere to go for a quick drink whilst waiting for a train.

Perfect spot for lunch. We sat outside in the sun and had the sourdough sandwiches which were absolutely delicious. Coffees were also amazing!

We were looking for a place to have lunch and decided to try The Jam Factory. We were seated promptly and given menus but then the server disappeared. We ended up ordering food from the bar.
Our party of three had an order of the roast beef dinner and two orders of the Lady Cluck grilled chicken on a bun. The food was top notch.
I would have given five stars but for the confusion over who would take the food order. Our successive server was friendly and attentive.
Please stop and enjoy the food and art

Tasty, but the laid back service struggled with how busy moules mercredi was, meaning the bar was full of staff who needed prompting to serve and one girl was serving the whole restaurant alone!

nice pub food with interesting decor. definitely worth a visit.

During lockdown they've overhauled the decor here and it's now got a light clean fresh look.
They are currently (Sept 2020) operating an order from table through your phone using a QR code type system which works well.
I love the relaxed ambience of this place.

Old marmalade factory, now converted to bar, restaurant, art gallery and performance/events space. Decent bar, and food good, with big portions. A little disconcerting to be eating your dinner as people stroll past your table looking at the art (which is for sale) on the walls. Live music also on when we were in. Old building & courtyards renovated, but not too modernised. Recommended as somewhere a bit different,. About £25 a head for dinner with drinks.

Chill place with good breakfast! So big & comfortable with nice staff too!
Love the coffee!
Michael Sierra-Arévalo
Massive space with super friendly staff. English breakfast was excellent and the coffee was well-made. WiFi and outlets available to work.
Alexis Ledoux
Great place, loved the vibe and the concept.
Waiters were really nice.
First place I’ve been to where they don’t charge you extra for vegetables milks.

Interesting place close to the train station in an old jam factory. Food and drinks are pricey. Coffee definitely not good...Update (December 2021) A Christmas dinner organized there; the food/deserts selection was really tasteful and the staff was smiley and make everything to offer a high level service
Leif Kristian Tungodden
Friendly and helpful personell. Excelent food and drink! Atmosphere vibrant of life. Modern furnishing, enveloped in classic architecture. Close to the railroad station. An easy choice, if you're looking for a great start of your day in Oxford!

Found via the Guardian's top 10 list for craft ale. There was only 1 cask pump I could see which seemed to be off rather than 2 but a nice selection of keg beer - local (tap social) and some further afield (St. Austell) / Belgian. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the space is just so beautiful with art, books and plants galore. Conveniently close to the station. They run events too like drawing evenings.

A quirky and interesting place combining good food and Art. Brilliant selection of coffee, teas and beers and food for lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals. New in the next two weeks is a mural by a local artist followed by her exhibition starting on 20th November.

My friend had his wedding party and speeches here. We were there all day and had a lovely time. Buffet food was very good and the atmosphere of the venue was exactly what was needed. Lived in Oxford all my life and this was the first time I'd visited... I've been missing out this whole time!

A really lovely place, went today for Mother's day and had the roast, it was delicious, perfect portion, amazing home cooked taste. We also treated ourselves to some cakes which were really yummy! Handing out bunches of flowers to the Mothers was a beautiful touch and my mum really appreciated it. I also loved the fact that I could take my dog.
The staff were friendly and the whole ambience and atmosphere of the place is great! I can't recommend enough, if you are in Oxford go and treat yourself to some great food and if you're into art there is a lovely market there too.
Nigel McKee
Really pricey menu but good food and a great bar with a quirky atmosphere, staff are really friendly and the history of the place is so cool, they should embrace it even more!

Was looking forward to breakfast. Poor service, our server didn't know that things on the menu weren't available, after we ordered them. Waited 45 minutes for food. When it came to payment the card machine wasn't working so cash only. There were four of us, £54 bill, don't usually carry this much cash, should have been told before we ordered. Very disappointing as the space promised so much. Final bug bear, cheap carton orange juice!

Definitely would never eat there again, had pate starter and the bread was hard and stale, steak and chips for main and the chips tasted like they had been re fried so we're greasy and dry, the only good thing we're the staff were nice, overall very poor

Held a networking event with some colleagues here and must say the staff, food and service was brilliant. Highly recommend

We think this place is pretty special as we had our wedding dinner here a few years ago and the JF made sure it all went smoothly.
Just been here for breakfast and the homemade sausages were superb and they do free coffee refills which is great if you need your caffeine hit! I'm not one for very healthy lunches but I must admit their light lunches are interesting and tasty.

The place is what it is, a funky, quirky relaxed venue, great coffee, great place to work from, relaxed attitude and I've only ever had decent food. It's not trying to be a Michelin starred restaurant, nor should it, the coffee is better than any chain and cheaper too. Everyone is welcome from the old guy who is there at 10:30 with a lager to students, not buying anything much, to those of us who just need coffee and lunch and wifi, they host great events, and when you're fed up of looking at the laptop.....look up, there's some great art going on too. Bravo JF, Im glad I found you, and am spreading the word.

It was a good night but not enough bar staff and was a long time getting served but staff were friendly so a pop up bar or extra drink station would have been good.
Sarah Timms
I've been meaning to stop off here for years, as I've heard really good things about The Jam Factory, so yesterday we made it our mid-walk stop. Bonus, it's dog friendly in the bar area, so we didn't have to sit outside in the cold. The coffee was lovely, and the tea served in a pot, so got 3 cups, but it was the cakes that really made it. Fantastic choice of lovely scrummy cakes, we had to sample a couple :) A big thank you too, to the happy friendly staff.
As this place is also open late and the main food also looked\smelt so good, I'm pretty sure we'll be back one evening as soon as it's light enough to walk after work.

Superb. Full of lovely people and staff. Excellent Service. Amazing Food. Great Wine. Cannot praise the place highly enough. Will be back real soon..

I just went in for a quick breakfast. Which was tasty. Well cooked. I would say £10 is a little bit too much for a breakfast. Unless this included a hot drink.
Nicola Hiorns
Service was great, perfect steak and the Mary lamb burger with curry mayo was to die for. Sweet cheeks Cotswold cider was very nice.
David Andrew Broadley
Great seating areas, different settings in and outside, the art, classes, great beer selection
Sue Walker
Friendly enough staff but drinks were cold and I ordered chocolate shortbread and got chocolate fudge cake. Toilets could be, and should be, cleaner and maintained. A disappointment.
Anita Laczi
Lovely place, dog friendly staff, delicious food for breakfast
Paul Morrissey
Great beer ( Belgium ) a totally relaxed chilled venue -Super friendly staff as well we loved it and will be going again and again
Kerri Nichols
What a great space, loved the light and airy setting with tables set up in multiple rooms. Very impressed with the food, I had the trout which was cooked to perfection. The pork terrine was delcious, and my husband was well impressed with his white bait.
Bill Butcher
Not a bad place, beer prices bit extortionate and not impressed with price variations of same drinks in different rounds
Peter Gelius
What a cool place! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, great shortbreads and outstanding cocktails (the bartenders surely know their trade!)!

A light airy cafe with good coffee, pleasant people and tasty food. I would breakfast there again.

A real gem. I'd heard good things about The Jam Factory so decided to check it out. We went for a meal last sat and were really impressed. I had a burger which was yummy, I especially loved the 'Mum's chutney' that came with it. The service was brilliant despite the fact that it was really busy. There's also a very charming and gorgeous manager with a beard who served our table! great atmosphere

Great for a quick bite / catch-up. Always pick the jam factory if i need to catch up with someone arriving at / leaving from the train station. the service is friendly and prompt, and the food/drinks are fresh and reasonably priced.

The roast was indeed made for a giant sized human being. Not only was the pork roast a huge slab of meat, even the parsnips and potatoes were of unusually big chunks. And better yet, it came with a side of greens. I suggest sharing the roast as even for a big eater like me, I needed help. The pork was nice and moist with puffed Yorkshire pudding and well roasted parsnips but too bad the potatoes and crackling was lack in crispness.

The inside, on the other hand, doesn't feel much like a factory. 'Light and airy' and 'relaxed and arty' are the descriptions that come to mind: white walls, assorted soft furnishings, plants, various sculptures and other artworks dotted about (including a fine collection of tea-cosies)
