One of the best ice cream I've ever had. I tried G&Ds about two years ago and absolutely love them so I was excited to go back during my visit to Oxford.
The place was crowded and the line extended out into the street (as usual) but we managed to find a table before things got too busy.
I had the waffle with Mars ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. The ice cream was absolutely delicious and the waffle warm. I love the atmosphere this place has and enjoyed coming here again. I do hope to be back soon because they had pizza bagels on the menu and I was so sad I had had lunch before it.

G&D's is the most popular spot for home-made ice cream in Oxford - open until midnight seven days a week. With over 12 flavours of ice-cream to choose from, you can can almost always be guaranteed a seat to sit down and enjoy your scoop however you like: a tub, cone, in a sundae, with a brownie or a cookie, in a hot chocolate (Holy Cow) or in a coffee (Mad Cow)!

I recommend the dime bar crunch, mint aero and after eight, as well as the bananarama. Have your scoop of ice cream with a warm chocolate brownie, and chocolate sauce generously poured over. Recently they launched a new flavour: Smelly Bee (lavender and honey), which made for an exotic experience for the senses! Helpful staff, quick service, and a bright, cheery setting.

George & Delila - Oxford, England. G&Ds has proven popular enough in Oxford, possibly amongst the university folk, to justify having three different locations around town. To create some life, there is character among each one to make it stand out plus each one gets a semi-unique name to it. George & Delila is the most recent addition and helps to combine the characteristics of the two previous entries. Everything inside the cafe is there to be seen from the outside street; thus, all the more enticing for people to come in for a snack. It has a more open and communal feel to it, which is a perfect location to come have a meeting and a general chat. The kind that would be ideal if it were not too formal.

While having a bite to eat, I also had the task of having to look after my niece while her mother had a meeting elsewhere in the shop. This is no easy task, however by great luck the apartment neighbours were there willing to help out looking after her (they themselves have a young one in tow).

I tried one of their signature "Cookie Monster" desserts. This was good from last time: choose any flavour of ice cream that is available - I got the Dime Bar flavour - and it gets crushed between two large cookies. You can make the comparison to it being an ice cream sandwich, which it is. However, good luck trying to eat this with your hands; getting your mouth around it is one challenge, but there will still be the mess made from the constantly melting ice cream.

The dessert, with all this in mind, is a great treat. What was described is part of why it is so good, especially the sticky, chewiness of the cookies selected. G&Ds' ice cream is smooth and creamy, making it the perfect filling for such a good dessert. The Dimer Bar flavour was bits of almond butter plus chocolate, making it a more tart version of Reese's cups.
By sheer luck, I was offered to try a bit of sorbet - raspberry flavoured. The sorbet was refreshing and had the natural tastes of the titular fruits. This was good, as I managed to see how they can do many different things correctly.

G&Ds are on to something really good. Albeit I have only really tried the Cookie Monster thus far, it goes to show just how good it is. There is an enjoyable atmosphere to this place, everything is made fresh in store or nearby. Hopefully, more are yet to come for the charms to be further known about here.

It's an institution in Oxford. If you visit Oxford and desire an ice cream or sorbet this is the place for you. Yes they have bagels and sandwiches. Hot and cold drinks. They have a great range of things to eat when you are working or studying here. You always see people using the location to get out and work in a better place. The range of ice creams and sorbets changes all the time so it makes it very exciting to come here to see what they have on offer. Excellent food and ice cream so you best check it out. I highly recommend here. Please press like if you found my review helpful thank you.

All of the G&D chains are excellent. It's mainly for a light lunch or snack. They all have the same good quality ice-cream. They all do sandwiches and toasties. It's a lunch shop basically. This one is the most Wheelchair friendly one of all. It has an accessible door but few seating spaces downstairs (it has a meziane in the middle up one stair). It has an excellent accessible loo but the turning circle is tight for RWD chairs if I'm honest. Reliable place to go and always popular. Not the most neurodivergant place to chill if I'm honest. But cosy up by the back door and loos in the summer and the open back door helps with noise dissipation.

Absolutely fantastic place for icecream ! They also have decent menu for munching on something light, but it's the icecream of G&D that stands apart. While the G&D in city centre of Oxford closes early in the evening, the G&D at Cowley road stays open till midnight. I have now tried most of the flavours at G&D and my personal favourite is Turkish Delight.

Just happened to stumble upon this place & we really loved it. Nice selection of breakfast, snacks & ice cream. The ice cream flavors are rather unique It is really creamy but not too sweet & you get a generous portion..Great place to bring kids to on the weekend for brunch or snacks. However, it seems more like a student hang-out & always busy. The queue moves rather slowly & you do need to wait for a bit to get your order. Still worth a visit!

Went to G&Ds today and felt very good buying my after eight ice cream :)!! The taste was not as memorable as I remembered but I am glad that it is open till late despite of the current situation :) Will be even better if they have a plastic shield and masks for the staff member! Update: 20th November 2021: great atmosphere and rum and raisin and mint ice cream was lovely!! Lovely staff and nice chai latte as well :) more savoury pastry could be nice as well. Student discounts will be great as well.

A wonderful place for great snacks and deserts. The ice cream selection is kind blowing and the cookies all looked incredible. Nice relaxed atmosphere and speedy service. The Dime Bar cookie with ice-cream on the side was to die for. Amazing!!

Came here for a Bagel and a coffee. Staff are very nice, roughly £2.65 for a coffee and. £4.65 for a bagel. They also do ice creams! Sometimes service is a tad slow but mostly fast
