Namaste Bengal

Indian food is a bit tricky when ordering from an unknown restaurant. I listened carefully to the waiter, and he guided me towards some sound choices that matched my palate. My entree was excellent, and my main equally good. Other little aspects of the food were a huge difference with other UK Indian restaurants. The management and the team seem to have this right. I had a great night and a great meal even if the staff did not understand my football interests that varied from their game of choice. At least we agreed on cricket, although different teams. I hope I can return and enjoy the hospitality again.

Been from Leeds have to say how lucky Pickering is to have this gem on its high street, 8,30 pm and the place was packed creating a great atmosphere, greeted with a smile the staff although busy were polite and friendly and the food was truly delicious everything from the pickle tray, rice, nan bread and curry was of a really high standard hats off too the chefs, wish it was on our high street,

A truly wonderful dining experience, I booked two weeks before as we were on holiday in Scarborough, it was an opportunity to meet up. There were 10 in our family party, the staff were very attentive and helpful. We all chose different dishes, the portion sizes are quite big. We shared some foods and i had the opportunity to taste some unusual dishes i don't normally have at home from my usual restaurant. The whole experience was perfect for the whole family. We look forward to going back when we are in the area again, thank you.

We spent a couple of days in Pickering and Namaste stood out from the rest as somewhere you could eat and would not be disappointed, what a great choice we made, I had the Chicken Balti and it was by far the best Balti I have ever eaten. The service was absolutely fantastic so attentive, really looked after from start to finish. The owner came over to our table and we had a quick chat, he then offered us complimentary drinks for after our meal. I can't wait until we are nearby again and we will have no hesitation to book and come back to see you guys. Book now you will not be disappointed at all.

Visited Pickering for tea last night, we had a fantastic curry, with lovely service (staff offering cake and complimentary drinks for a birthday)! The vegetarian dish I went for was a Balti, and it was up there with one of the best I’ve had & as avid Paratha lovers, this was a first Indian (beyond our local) that didn’t disappoint. I’ve dropped a star off my rating as we were disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t family friendly, they don’t offer high chairs for little ones. Still cash only, so be mindful of this when visiting.
