The Buckwell

Walked past this place a few weeks ago when they first opened and the food smelt amazing! I visited today with my partner for a Sunday roast, oh boy I was not disappointed! The roast portions are great, I ordered the chicken with mine and the breast was huge! I am a big eater and I struggled to finish it. The decor in this restaurant is simplistic yet stylish, the well adds a very quirky feature. The room has pictures of Plymouth from the 1800's which is very interesting to see. The service was good; very polite friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with music playing in the background. Would gladly reccomend a visit.

took my 5 year old in today for a Sunday lunch and I was amazed on how welcoming and helpful they all were with my son. brilliant with children, offered my son whatever he liked and he requested a Yorkshire,sausages and mash and they managed to make it look amazing,I went for the triple roast and my god the portions were brilliant. I also couldn't choose a which sundea I wanted to they made me both into one desert. they really do cater for all you're needs and I cannot express how child friendly it is. will be in every Sunday for sure!

110% recommend the Sunday roast! Today I had the triple meat roast, the beef was to die for very tender. The portion size were massive definitely didn’t come out hungry. Brilliant drinks selection also! The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do to much for you! I’m definitely booking in for next Sunday!
