Such a gr8 pub with friendly people.
Food is top notch, cheap and yummy.
The drinks are brilliant and also affordable.
The service can be brilliant.

Food and service typical of Wetherspoons. Not great , just really good value .
It's the venue that's set's this place aside. Amazing, and I really love the fact that one day a year, it reverts back to being a theatre !

Nice place to enjoy a meal and a great old opera house .

We stopped in for lunch, ordered Katsu curry, Nachos & cauliflower curry. Was pleasantly surprised & enjoyed it all thoroughly. Great value for money.

Great pub. Nice food, brilliant atmosphere. The steak was a bit chewy, will call again and maybe have the chicken.

Got to be one of the most ornate Wetherspoons in the country.
Be careful. You don't spill your beer looking up and around this place.

Absolutely stunning visually, great atmosphere, staff were lovely.
Only problem was my scampi was cold when I got it, it was taken back and a new meal made which was okay.

Beautiful setting to eat, but rather noisy at times. Good food at a very reasonable price and a good fast service. Free hot drink refills for breakfast are an absolute winner. Shame that the venue is spoiled a bit by modernity (slot machines and neon signs), but altogether worth a visit just for the stupendous interior if nothing else.

A JDW in an old theatre on a promenade high street. Located in a jaw droppinglying beautiful interior as much of the old theatre is preserved, including the ornament ceiling and wall plastering and gold leaf. The centre of which hangs a 4 tier chandelier. There are many small balconies running up the sides and one can imagine couples there on a Friday and Saturday night out. The stalls (theatre sesting removed) and proscenium stage are filled with abundant seating. The upper circle still has the original seats in place.
There is a small secluded seating area in the yard.
The food was good hot and prompt to arrive. The staff were warm and welcoming.
Without doubt the mist stunning JDW I've set foot in.
Certainly a must go visit if in the area!
