Seafood Sam's On The Canal

We were part of a tour group of 40 people who were diverted to this restaurant due to a weather issue. The staff were given very little notice of our arrival, but they handled our large group like a well-oiled machine! The orders are placed at the counter and you're given a pager device. While you're waiting , all drinks, as well as any condiment you can think of are self-serve. Food was prepared fairly quickly and was tasty. My husband highly recommends the seafood mac & cheese. It was loaded with shrimp and scallops. I had lightly fried clams and butterfly shrimp that were also good. The New England clam chowder was yummy!! And did I mention, there is a bar on site for reasonably priced alcoholic drinks!!

My family and I eat at Seafood Sam’s at least once a year during our annual vacation to the Cape. Seafood is always very fresh and they are pretty generous with portions. This year, we had their lobster bisque, clam chowder, hot buttered lobster roll, classic cold lobster roll, french fries, and cole slaw. Our kids had their linguine and Mac and cheese. All kids meals come with a tootsie pop for dessert! In years past, we’ve gotten their whole bellied clam roll, steamers, and fried seafood. We’ve never had a bad meal here! There’s a bar inside if you want a beer or cocktail. And there’s ample indoor and outdoor seating!

Perfect for casual seafood. We brought a party of 14 and I think this was the easiest way to entertain us all. We sat outside and could move all the tables around and not bother everyone. The bar tender was extremely friendly. The man taking our food order at the counter was very patient and helpful. They even let us borrow extra utensils for a birthday cake we brought. They were extremely accommodating and the seafood was fried perfectly. Even with our large party, they got every meal correct. That's hard to do! Prices are also very reasonable. Wow — Great experience!! Stopped in for a mid-afternoon summer vacation weekend lunch/dinner break. 3pm and the crowd was low and service was nice. We went with the Cape Cod lobster dinner, 3 piece chicken dinner, cup of lobster bisque, and a kids mac-n-cheese. Everyone was more than satisfied. The chicken dinner was nice and moist. Loved the seasoning the crisp cooked skin. 3 pieces was more than enough to share. Lobster dinner was a great price ($25) and $6 bisque was very nice. This will be out go to seafood spot for “family” style dinner. We will hit the Pilot House for fancier dinning but this is comfort food served quickly and at a good price!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Great place with really excellent food. My daughter and I had the clam plates which were amazing. Clams were large whole belly gems with light golden batter. Fries were just right. Great slaw too. My wife had the lobster roll which was super fresh and light and my son (10yr old) had the chicken fingers. We all left with smiles and full bellies.

A cute little place by the canal. We got the lobster rolls with a side of fries and coleslaw. The prices were better than most in the area and the drinks were really good and strong. The restaurant felt more like a cafeteria where you order at a counter and find a place to sit. It was very clean and easy to maneuver. Overall, we had a nice lunch for a decent price with a nice view.
