Captain Scott's Seafood Restaurant

This is a charming restaurant with friendly attentive staff and amazing food with a Mediterranean flair. My daughter and I stopped by for early Sunday lunch looking for local seafood after a hike in nearby state forest. We brought our dog into the outside garden patio area and our server could not have been kinder and more pleasant - really capped our weekend off perfectly. I tried the roasted sole with eggplant on bed of wilted spinach and rice which came in ample portion and was out of this world. I would also recommend the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry jam layer which is baked on premises. We will go out of our way to return to this gem on our next visit to the Cape -and I hope we find our same server to chat with again - this family atmosphere and care is the heart and soul of a great restaurant!

I grew up in the Boston area, and my family often camped on the Cape during the summers. This the type of place we would go to for inexpensive dinners out to give my mom a break from cooking. It’s no frills, but the people are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food is a solid value for the price. My partner has celiac, and even though they only have a few items listed as gluten free on the menu, their hostess went out of her way to try to answer his questions about whether other items on the menu could be ordered gluten-free. The service in general was outstanding. I don’t need to eat gluten free, and I highly recommend their lobster roll special, which comes with fries and a cup of lobster bisque. That lobster rolls was loaded with lobster, and very little mayo, as it should be! The roll was grilled perfectly. What a treat and for an affordable price. We also got beet salads…if you love beets(as I do) it’s great…a huge mound of sliced pickled beets on a bed of greens, and that’s it, for about half the price of a more elaborate beet salad in other places. The authentic Greek salad was also fantastic. Definitely stop by if you are looking for a solid, inexpensive seafood meal in Sandwich. We loved it!

I absolutely love Captain Scott's. My go to is the scallop roll, although I enjoy many items on their menu. The outdoor bar is unique and the indoor bar is welcoming and comfortable. My significant other and I enjoy both dining in or getting takeout and going to eat down by the Canal. I try to get to Captain's at least twice a month!!

Wonderful restaurant off the beaten path. No crowds. Very sweet cheerful waitress. Helpful with the menu which is extensive. Lots of seafood choices some Greek and Italian dishes as well. Sit inside or outside. Great value for our meal. Crab cakes were delicious. Lots of parking and no price to park.

Fabulous food!! Steaming hot!! I never eat fries but these wide ,fat crispy on the outside but soft potato on the inside a meal in them selves!! Jill our Server was a pleasure. Always a smile , prompt service, very attentive, took the time to listen and met our needs. The cook even took the time to come and chat with us at our table. A family restaurant who showed that they care about their customers and also spoke highly of his workers . I would recommend it highly.

A Hidden gem in Sandwich, where the prices are reasonable, the portions are good, great quality food and the staff is attentive and friendly. This was my first time here in eight years. All of the changes are awesome . We were a party of three adults and two children. We mostly had seafood, including the whole belly clam plate that was on special for $24.99. The food was great and our waitress was very nice. If we had room for dessert, I think we would’ve got the carrot cake, it was about four layers, which I spotted in the dessert case as we walked in. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the new outdoor bar, this is going to be a great place to meet friends and relax with a summer drink. I live within walking distance and I think this will my new go-to place this summer!
