What a great little quaint garden centre on the edge of Scunthorpe.
Not very well sign posted, but a lovey entrance.
The little cafe has a freindly warm welcome, it's very reasonably priced, the staff are very courteous and polite. 👍
I visited silica garden centre last week and when you purchased anything you could take a free plant, I always buy the plants that look sorry gives me great pleasure to see them flourish back home.
Silica is one of the best garden centres and thank you for my free plant, it’s loving its new home and now has green leaves and flowering 😀🪴🪴
Great cafe in a lovely, friendly garden centre!
We have visited the cafe at Silica Lodge several times, either for coffee and cake, or for a full lunch. There is a full menu including hot and cold meals,as well as sandwiches and lighter snacks. The cakes are delicious too!
Our food was tasty, hot and good value. I had reserved a table beforehand as there were 5 of us, and this was clearly marked and available when we arrived.
The outside seating area is lovely, and a sun trap, but perhaps could do with more shade on very hot days. The inside part of the cafe can also get uncomfortably hot, but the dog friendly area is much cooler - perhaps there is better air conditioning in the main building?
Went for lunch, had a wonderful experience at the Four Seasons coffee shop. Great atmosphere and delicious food, I ordered the eggs royale and I couldn't be happier. It took 15 minutes from placing the order to it arriving at my table, but it came with a muffin, lovely smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Well worth the money and the staff were super polite and welcoming.
Will definitely be back and would recommend!
A nice well looked after garden centre. Lots of choice, many fruit trees and some fun displays. We even saw some donkeys on our last visit. Worth a look if you're in Scunthorpe.

my husband and I had a lovely afternoon tea, we enjoyed the delicious finger sandwiches that were generously filled, each one had different fillings, sausage roll, quiche, scotch egg, creme Scone, 2 slices of different sponges and chocolate brownie, all light and delicious plus a pot of tea and a pot of coffee, the staff member that served us was so cheerful and it was lovely chatting to her, all the staff are nice, all in all a pleasant time had at Silica Lodge restaurant, will definitely go again.thank you to all the staff.
I was in store as part of a team promoting “Dying Matters” and had the opportunity to watch the staff during the course of the day.
The staff were so pleasant and helpful and had a great rapport with the customers.The staff looked after us very well.Thank you so much for your hospitality.
Had a meal there on Saturday, it was from The Specials Board, there were four of us all choosing from that option, it was lovely
2 had steak pie
2 had quiche
We all thoroughly enjoyed it , 4 empty plates went back !!
Lovely choice of cakes, but we were too full to indulge in any, so will defo return to try some of these

Great selection of plants and many other things friendly staff tidy carpark the whole place set out nice happy to visit again
Today we went to visit Santa at Silica Lodge, it was amazing, we loved it. Lovely walk through with lots of things to see, some snow and some bubbles! And seeing the man in red was so special, still beautifully personal, not rushed and able to pick a toy of their own choice! Well done Silica lodge for providing a great covid safe santa experience!
