Probably the best fish and chips I tried in the UK. Fish is always tasting fresh, it's never dry, batter is crispy and doesn't drip with oil. The fries are the real deal. After one visit there I became a regular straight away. Make no mistake, this place is not your regular fish and chip shop, the quality is way higher than you'd expect from a place like this. A true hidden gem.
Absolutely beautiful.. My son recommended them and even though I live in selby a friend and I went for a drive out, well worth the trip. Nice staff and freshly cooked food. Well done Wistow fish shop
Brilliant, fish is cooked perfect and not too much batter. Chips are really nice and the device is perfect and it doesn't cost a fortune. Highly recommend
Just ordered 2 haddock and chips, portion of much peas and curry sauce, I would pay a lot more in big towns and get nothing that compares to the quality of food received tonight, would definitely use again when in the area.
Nice gf fish cooked in its own fryer..would feel safer if chips were separated for gluten free meals so no chance of cross contamination from other utensils
