Great traditional pub. some excellent hand pulled real ales from Thwaites and Warsteiner lager which you don't find in many places. New landlords Caroline and Julian very welcoming. Kitchen was just undergoing a complete refit so hope to be able to sample menu in near future.

I would definitely recommend the Miners Arms for a meal. There is a good menu, with plenty of choice. All the food was freshly cooked and homemade. The quality was excellent and portion size very generous. The staff were so very friendly.

First time I've visited but it was on recommendation of friends. Great staff and service. My friend enjoyed all her 3 courses, I enjoyed my first, second was OK but I've cooked better myself and desert was rubbery think it had been microwave to heat up. Think I just picked the wrong main and desert. Will try something next time. Good value decent portions.

Dropped in here for lunch. Not disappointed. First the beer. 3 local cask ales, excellently kept. Amazingly £2.50 a pint. Varied menu with lunch time deals. Food freshly prepared and cooked. Large bowl of tasty tom and basil soup. Nice tender steak pie with fresh veg. Then a lemon meringue cheesecake dessert. Hard to find fault. Well worth the visit.

I called in to meet a former work colleague for a drink and a meal. The Miners' is a nice little pub, in a friendly locality. The staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient and the food was good at a very reasonable price. We will definitely return, even though neither of us lives in the immediate area. Thank you for providing us with an enjoyable tea time.

Called in for our tea tonight and WOW! The atmosphere is amazing, Rob and his staff are friendly and make you feel very welcome! Shared a starter of Homemade Chicken and Mushroom pate ! 12/10! Very very tasty and beautifully presented. Wish I could take home the chutney with me!! Hubby had Sirloin Steak and all the trimming cooked to perfection! I had the Haddock and chips, the fish was again cooked to perfection and the batter was amazingly crispy, better than a fish and chip shop! The mushy peas and veg were fresh! Nothing frozen in sight!!! 18/10 for the whole experience!! Compliments to the Chef and the Landlord

Thursday 23 .. had chicken in mushroom sauce with chips & veg.the guy even brought me. a ramekin full of pork crackling when I asked if they did it with SUNDAY LUNCH to try The meal was fantastic.the sweet treacle tart & custard was just as nice I would recommend it to anyone We have booked SUNDAY LUNCH CANT WAIT

Had an amazing meal at the Miners Arms yesterday. Service was brilliant and food fantastic. We pre-ordered our main meals and they arrived within five minutes of everyone arriving. Will definitely return.
