Visited venue for a party. Very nice place in a good location. Staff were very friendly on the whole but a staff member did accidentally spill a whole tray of drinks over my brother then said "I'm having a bad night" and walked off. We didn't see him again and someone else sorted it all out

Absolutely delicious food with superb service.
The choice is excellent and although i "only" had a burger, it was outstanding.
I also had the crème brulèe which was to die for with an after dinner wine!

Went on 13th October 10 of us for a 21st it was amazing we had a dinning area up stairs just for us it was brilliant the staff were the best they went above and beyond even getting balloons and a banner decorating the room for me. It was great Dan the DJ was lovely. Would highly recommend could not fault at all. Food was out of this world will be returning soon. Cracking place thank you Loopy Shrew. Debbie and the gang Hannah had a great 21st here.

A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Shrewsbury. The people are friendly and helpful and the food absolutely delicious. The rooms are comfortable and the setting is just magic. An easy walk to a lovely park and BEST attribute is this lovely spot is dog friendly. 🐕

Went for a meal on an early Saturday evening. Service good as was food. Menu is quite small but the portions were good and food tasty. Reasonable price for a gastro pub too. Nice vibe in there

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Excellent food and service. Very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Food and drinks were excellent. Absolutely loved our stay. The loopy shrew was also situated in a perfect place to visit Shrewsbury and wood definitely recommend the hotel 👍👌❤❤

Just had an absolutely beautiful Sunday roast!!
Everything was bang on and delicious, gorgeous perfectly cooked beef!
Tasty gravy and vegetables were on point too, the waitress was brilliant, finished off with a great coffee!!

An anniversary meal brought us to the Loopy Shrew. We sat in the bar until closer to our reservation time and the staff came to tell us the table was ready. An excellent menu with an equally good veggie/vegan menu too. Food was in generous portions, tasted delicious and the accompanying wine was reasonably priced as well. Service was fine with all staff very polite and helpful.

Enjoyed a Sunday roast here recently. We weren't able to book, as we didn't know what time we would arrive in Shrewsbury - so chanced a walk-in. We did have a 20 minute wait before the kitchen were able to accept more orders, but the restaurant did look very busy.
Once our beef arrived, it was easy to see why it was so busy - it was excellent, with perfect Yorkshire pudding, and great veg. The red cabbage was delicious.
The service was good, friendly and not in your face. I'd happily return for another Sunday lunch!

We went as a couple on Tuesday evening. Been meaning to try this very popular and central venue for a long time. Prices were pretty good for the two or three course menu and the food was traditional, tasty, substantial. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism was service a bit slow but we will probably go again.
