We went as a party of 4 and from the moment we walked in the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. This was our first visit (won’t be our last) and we wanted to see if it was as good as the reviews said it was. We were expecting very good things from reading the Google reviews but our expectations were exceeded by a country mile. The food was incredible, the meat was fresh and tender….who needs a knife when it falls apart. The flavour of all the dishes we had were a burst of flavours in your mouth that made you want another mouthful even when you were full. The deserts are handmade not frozen rubbish most places use and I have to say that by far they made the best chocolate mousse cake I’ve ever had it was light and fluffy and tasted incredible. The lamb madras was the best curry I’ve ever tasted and to be fair the honey glazed lamb chops were incredible too. Throughout our experience staff were friendly and attentive. I can’t remember the last time I went for a meal and smiled so much throughout. An absolutely incredible experience and definitely up there as one of the best restaurants I’ve visited. We will definitely be back very soon.
The reviews don’t do it justice if you like a good curry come and give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.
I've been to Lavang twice now and it's a lovely restaurant with a really nice ambience. All of the staff are so welcoming and happy to see guests. The service is very attentive.
The food is authentic and full of flavour, it's hard to decide what to have because there is so much choice on the menu. Some restaurants don't ask about allergies but they do at this restaurant. The nice touch is the dry ice! I'll happily continue coming to Lavang, it's definately a hidden gem!
I recently visited Lavang with a party of 5. We all had starters, mains and sides. We could not fault anything. It was all delicious.
The staff were helpful and pleasant. The service was excellent. Just to let you know that you have to take your0 own alcohol in as they only sell soft drinks. There are a couple of places around the corner where you can buy drink, just in case you forget.
It wasn't too badly priced. It was about £25 each for two courses, sides and soft drinks.
There is parking.
We are looking forward to our next visit.
We fancied a change from our local restaurant, so we thought we’ll give lavang a go as it looked quite attractive on the website.
From the second we walked in our experience, was welcoming, very attentive staff and service with a smile !
The food was absolutely amazingly presented and very rich in authentic flavours, although on our next visit, we will probably ask for it to be a little less spicy because we under estimated the level we order.
We loved the fact you could bring your own alcoholic drinks
Definitely a winner all round

Me and my partner visited on Friday evening after recomendations of a friend of ours. It was a lovely looking small restaurant. The food was really good. Staff were attentive, especially Abul who made us feel very welcome. I will definitely vist again with my girlfriends soon
We visited Lavang after a conference at the NEC, I rang up and asked about parking and booked us a table for 8.15pm. The staff told us that parking could be busy outside at times however with it being late on a Wednesday evening we would hopefully be ok which we were.
Lavang's interior decor is really beautiful and classy, they add extra touches such as dry ice with the starters which adds some fun flair to the table!
The staff were attentive but not intrusive and very professional. The food was delicious, we had a 3 course meal and we were absolutely stuffed! Each dish was flavourful and tempting. Lavang does not serve alcoholic drinks which wasn't an issue for us but may be for others.
The overall price was as we expected really, not cheap or extortionate.
We'd highly recommend Lavang to any in the area or visiting the NEC as it's a 10 minute drive really for some great food.
Table of 11 visited for my sisters birthday. The restaurant was on the smaller side but this meant the staff were very attentive. The food was really tasty and good value. Its bring your own drink too. Will definitely be returning!
We ate here as a family of two adults and two children in a Thursday night. The restaurant is clean and smart looking, and the staff were welcoming. The cost of food was good with most dishes being about £10-11. The food tasted great and it was made with fresh ingredients and no artificial colouring. The tikka masala was not too creamy or too sweet. The lamb shank came with a very tasty vegetable curry.
We loved visiting Lavang this evening and it was as good as we expected from the great reviews. The staff are fabulous - welcoming, knowledgeable and committed to every guest having a wonderful experience. Maz was so enthusiastic. The food was great, quality ingredients and lovely flavours. Every element of the meal was spot on from the rice to the triple chocolate mousse. We will definitely be returning and we totally get why Lavang have built such a large client base. Highly recommended!
we were quite a large party and had an amazing time celebrating two 30th birthdays. we were very looked after by all the staff especially abul who made our whole experience that extra special. will definitely be returning, the food was incredible and such great quality! thank you :)
