Among the various options I've tried in Southampton, Garden Restaurant's rendition of Kung Pao chicken stands out as the closest to its origins. This unique flavor combination is also nicely applied, with a some variation, to their Yuxiang rousi (shredded pork in a sweet and sour sauce). A bit more kick of vinegar would have been better, but overall it’s a satisfactory rendition.
The most amazing food ever! The food was delicious, so fresh and the meats so tender. You could not wish for a more warm welcome or better atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. This place is second to none. The best Chinese restaurant in the Southampton by far!
A great night out with great food, great portion size, great taste. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. I really enjoyed the Chinese barbeque dish. Highly recommend to Chinese food lovers. We enjoy the night so much my friend even booked a table for their Christmas dinner, too.
Delicious food cooked fresh and served with warmth and good vibes. Staff are welcoming and friendly they explained the menu and contents to help us choose our order. They have Cantonese style food and also authentic dishes from hunan which are spicy dishes. I tried stir fry beef with hot peppers. They really really good. I very highly recommend this place. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Will definitely come back!
Service: 4 out of 5. They were great, quite fast when serving, but not as attentive after food have been served. We order a fair amount and dishes were not taken away once finished. But it is partly our fault for ordering way too much!
Food: outstanding 5 out of 5. I have been to a fair amount of Chinese restaurant, from Chinatown to all the little part of London, and many others in smaller towns. But this is as authentic as you can ask for. Some dishes are ultra spicy so beware.
Atmosphere: you can probably book a garden booth, I haven't try but pretty sure you can ask for that if you want some cold air. As for inside, it was nice and airy, have a nice and chillax vibe to it.
Price: for the location, presentation, variety and quality of food, it would be considered a fair price.
I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu!

Loved it here! The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and attentive, and the menu was brilliant, much more authentic than other Chinese restaurants. Prices were great, good portion sizes. I'm definitely going back again. You can try things you wouldn't normally get on a normal high street. Chinese 😉 The food came out hot and fresh and quickly. Dined first time at this restaurant and it was an overall positive experience. Food was all freshly prepared, authentic and prices are very reasonable. Service was good and food served quickly. There’s outdoor unique dinning rooms, a small garden and parking available at the back of the restaurant.
Quality food good service and great garden if you like Chinese food this is the best try it. the roasted seabass is fantastic!

We ordered 3 meals and they tasted sooo good. The restaurant's indoor part looks like a standard chinese restaurant, and the outdoor part is really nice. They have koi fish pond. During this pandemic time, it will be good if we can enjoy good meals outdoor (of course as long as supported by the weather). I definitely will come back again..
