The owners have obviously read all the bad reviews for this place (of which there were many) that complained about moody teenagers and poor hygiene. We visited today and although it was staffed entirely by teenage girls they were ruthlessly efficient, pleasant to engage with, and used gloves to serve. The gloves were removed when they used the till and took payments so hygiene was not an issue. There's a good selection of ice cream flavours as well as a few sorbet. They have waffle cones instead of those awful cones the ice cream vans serve. They also seem to serve traditional Mr Whippy style ice cream and have melted chocolate on tap. We ordered bubblegum ice cream in a cone and a pack of doughnuts. The doughnuts were cooked fresh in front of us and were delicious. The ice cream was also really good.

Have been to this ice cream shop many times and it doesn’t disappoint. Great selection of ice cream flavours but was very disappointed that they have stopped doing the “jelly and ice cream” flavour. Staff member was very friendly and helpful, allowed me to try a couple of ice creams before I made a decision. She also put clean gloves on before handling the ice cream and cones which I thought was very good.

Visit the larger cafe opposite Adventure Island. Big shout out to Beau. Lovely service received from her and quick. Had a bit of a pickle with an order and she was patient and lovely. Fabulous British ice cream made from Cornish cream all modesty priced. Also loads of choice for vegan/ lactose intolerant. The sorbets are splendid. Also tea and coffee, peppermint tea and milkshakes. Only downside is the very loud music. Definitely worth a vist
