Nice little seaside cafe selling traditional fish and chips of great quality. The large cod is massive only order if you are ravenous. They even have a 10pct concession for pensioners. Try it you won't be disappointed.

We have been here a few times before and it's always been amazing , the fish and chips are the best I've ever had. We booked a table at Downeys to celebrate our Dad's 84th birthday. The staff were fabulous and made such a fuss of him and the manager made an extremely kind gesture that left us speechless.
Can't speak highly enough about the food, the staff and the whole experience .

Boxes that contain your fish and chips are great, though old fashioned newspaper will always be best!

Absolutely beautifully cooked fish and chips. Generous portion in very clean packaging. We have tried a few different fish joints on this marine walk but this establishment by far tops the rest.
I will recommend this and return here myself on my next visit. Bloody well done!

Amazing fish and chips! The fish was covered in crispy batter and tastes wonderful, chips were delightful as well! The combination of curry sauce and mushy peas made the food tastes even better!
The staffs were super friendly, massive thanks to Lucas for giving me really helpful recommendations of tourist attractions in this area! The girl who took my order was super lovely, unfortunately didn’t get her name though.
The best part is you can enjoy the food while appreciating the gorgeous view of roker beach. Highly recommend this place!
