Family friendly, fun pub with honest grub. Well worth a visit!
Phoned on the off chance Saturday night as we was hungry and had step son staying with us. They had room for us and we had an enjoyable meal. Had sharing starters (although we didn't share) hunters chicken and two lamb shanks (from specials board) delicious.
A really good selection of vegan food. Went here for the first time my meal was tasty apart from undercooked chips. My boyfriend said his chicken was bland but would like to try again.
Lovely friendly pub, staff are great . Been on Saturdays for the 2 for £20 steak nights and also had a few sunday lunches also 2 for £20 ( and kids under 12 eat free)… I’m not sure which I prefer as they are both cooked beautifully and very tasty.. it’s a lovely friendly pub, can’t fault it
I organised a friends birthday party here and there was 20 of us and the meals (3 courses) all come out hot and together. The staff were jolly and couldn’t have been more helpful . Would highly recommend going here for a drink or food you will not be disappointed. I’m looking forward to trying the plates Sunday dinner too! Great job everyone 😊
Well where do I start. AMAZING FOOD at a great price. Had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings and selection of all three meats. Nice friendly staff. They even made Gluten Free cauliflower cheese. Nothing else to add .. this is a hidden gem!!!!!!
Great value food and great village pub - Friday two fish and chips for £12 excellent value - really enjoyed and great value - hunters chicken was great for fussy daughter - second time went for Sunday lunch and that was great - glad we stopped by today.
Came across this pub by chance, great little find! We booked a table at 3.30pm as kitchen closed at 4pm on a Sunday, we thought that this late in the day there may not be much choice and to be honest as we booked so late on we had thought hopefully food would be okay - The Sunday Roast was fabulous & most definitely value for money! The quality of meats was superb - beef was pink (as requested ) & Turkey was very tasty not dry at all, plenty of accompanying potatoes veg & lots of gravy! Definitely recommend a visit!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Warm welcome, helpful and insightful service, fast and efficient! The food was faultless, we had a 3 course meal and it was spectacular. The service and delivery of food to the table was homely and comforting. Staff were informative and knowledgable. We will be returning. Little fire burning, and live music playing, what more could you want on top of the service and food! Thank you!
