I last ate at Cap'n Jack's 40 years ago, as a high school graduation dinner. This weekend I attended our 40th reunion, and have been taking my wife to all my memorable spots. This was a fun weekend, and Cap'n Jack's did not disappoint.

This is a funky little restaurant that would be entirely unnoticed if you were running out to matunick especially since it’s close to the Matthea oyster house.
We always go here for another lobster dinner. This season is gorgeous. Lobster is perfect. I did forget to give us our corn the last time we did a takeout but that’s also it’s nice but this restaurant you can do lunch or dinner takeout also the prices are extremely reasonable best martinis anywhere

Ate on the patio, which could have used a bit more shade. Shared crab cakes, calamari, and stuffies for appetizers. Had fish and chips for entree. Everything was cooked right with good ingredients. Everyone was satisfied with their entrees and the appetizers. Tables available on a late Sunday afternoon.

Best restaurant in the area. They know how to make the seafood. I love the England Chowder and definitly I can eat a dozen of their clam cakes. I tried pizzas too and My favorite was the Margarita congratulations to the chef definitly 5 stars

We love Cap’n Jack’s. We live down the road and are guilty to say we are there at least once a week if not 2 times. They are excellent with our oldest son and so accommodating. We have never been disappointed with our food or our service. It doesn’t matter if we catch them at a slow time or when the entire place is packed.. the food is always delicious and consistent.
—DONT forget to get a desert. You will not regret it!

We went to the Pub which serves the same excellent food. Excellent service and reasonable prices, well worth the trip. The main restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday so it's worth knowing that you can get the same food at the Pub. And there's ice cream right next door for the kids, big or small!

Quality of food was great. Very fresh.
Brought in a group of 14. We were seated as soon as we got to the restaurant and all good was brought out at the same time for a large group.
Atmosphere was great. Very much a local joint with a quaint feel.

While venturing out and about from CT, decided to try somewhere new. Let me just say the 4.7 star rating doesn't do it justice. I got my usual fish n chips, it was Haddock and absolutely fantastic! Even the coleslaw was good and I usually don't eat it! I honestly wish I had room for their fabulous desserts but I'm so stuffed! Use to go out to Narragansett for this type of meal but will now definitely make this the new place!! Can't wait till next time!!!

Truly wow-ed by the exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, stayed long enough to enjoy the lovely outdoor area. We kept ordering appetizers for our stay and were thrilled.
What a gem.
Update May 2022: I live locally and this spot has been an absolute favorite! Your only disappointment may be that they’re closed on Mondays! Another great dinner last night! Steamers, always. I had the grilled mahi quinoa arugula salad for my entree. It was fabulous.
