The Chuckwagon

What a delightful find. Chuckwagon has a nice variety on the menu. Totally NOT what I expected. I ordered the chicken and waffles, pretty darnes good. My friend ordered the gyro sandwich, he said it was delicious.The sweet tea was just right... flavorful but not overly sweet. The decor matches the name and menu. I think it was the owner that waited on us. He was very friendly and attentive. I have been in this area many many times and never knew it was there. Easy to find and plenty of parking out front. Take a few minutes and stop by... your tummy and wallet will thank you.

Another great experience! Had the chicken tenders with a combo bbq sauce and honey mustard sauces which upped it to a new level. My son, who is super picky LOVED IT. He also got his favorite mac and cheese bites. We then split the McSwine (mac and cheese and pulled pork) with a side of corn bread. It was better than the same at a well known bbq place. Staff are awesome, the restaurant is extremely clean (I used to inspect restaurants so I'm hyper aware), and the prices are right in line. Love it here!! Another great visit today by myself for some quick appetizers. This place is gold. Great people, excellent food.

Very friendly service. For a small restaurant , very open inside with plenty of space between tables. Hand cut fries are very flavorful and large portions served. Meals were prepared quickly and cooked to order. Had chicken fried steak with sausage gravy and baked beans and corn muffin. All were cooked perfectly. Chicken fried steak was best I have had in a very long time. Corn muffin was moist and sweet with a distinctive corn taste , like homade. So good I got a couple to go. My fiance had a bacon cheeseburger that was very well prepared and very tasty. Very extensive menu for a small place . Plenty of variety with lunch specials. Waitress asks if you want dessert and tells you the desserts available. Also was told of menu specials before ordering. As advertised this is American comfort food. I am sure we will be returning to enjoy other tasty items from the menu.

If sadness has a flavor The Chuckwagon has it nailed. Think old picnic food, think lukewarm school lunch. I got canned baked beans with cut up over cooked hot dogs they even look like they were leftover from the 4th of July, and the “redskin mashed potatoes” are frozen or powdered and absolutely not redskin they taste like wallpaper paste and have the same gloopy texture. The “potato salad” was undercooked potatoes doused in Mayo and a sprinkle of wilted carrot shavings for some flair no salt or pepper no egg or celery literally just Mayo and crunchy potato. The corn bread was beyond sweet and tasted like yellow cake with corn meal added so it could masquerade as cornbread. Needless to say I will never eat from or recommend this place to anyone

Burgers are great and we had to try a bit of everything. Pulled pork side was enough for 4 people! The fried cheese curds were fantastic! I can't wait to go back and have the chicken fried steak with gravy! This place is my guilty pleasure. If you like American comfort food the you need to try this place.
