Wells Golf Club

My local club. It’s lovely. Very welcoming. A good range of people. Some are serious players and some are just looking for a good time so whatever type of player you are I think they’ve got you covered. The club pro Terry is very good and I’m keen to learn from him more. The only thing that lets it down is that although the club house is a relatively new building, it feels quite dated and gloomy. The balcony is quite nice however overlooking the 18th green. Also, the driving range covers all bases certainly but it could do with an update. It’s advertised as a flood lit range but I’ve never seen them on. All in all I’m proud to be a member and as a member I feel a wanting to push them for more from the club.

Fantastic course, in great condition. Very well maintained, greens some of the best I've played this season. A great layout with Interesting and challenging holes in a beautiful natural setting. Views are stunning from the course but be warned it is very hilly in parts. Played in the afternoon and paid the twilight rate of £20 each, which I thought was great value. Watch out for the 12th hole, a real challenge for any golfer, especially a hacker like me. Also has a great little range, with some of the best views from a range I've seen. Thoroughly recommended, Would love to play again if I am in the area.
