After a visit up the hill to visit the park and views up by Fort Nothe we headed back down the hill on the side of the harbour and towards the pier at the base of the Fort. That's where we found the Stone Pier Café. It's been under new management and ownership since April 2017 and it's had a complete overhaul away from beans on toast and microwave pasties to tasty fresh delights like whitebait, calamari, Dorset crab and falafel. If that's not to your taste then you'll find "safe" options like cheese toasties and hot dogs. We (my wife, four children and parents in law) tried the Dorset crab sandwich, a couple of varieties of toastie (which were deliciously fried rather than a toasted sandwich maker), hot dog, falafel and hummus wrap, and squid fingers (like fish fingers, but squid). They were all delicious. The coffee was also freshly ground and great quality also. The meal was finished off with Mr Whippy (with a flake) all round which we took down to the little, secluded pebbly beach at the base of the Fort right by the café. The location is fantastic with panoramic views from Weymouth, the harbour and round to the Jurassic coast and open sea. You can see in my photos just how well situated the café is. The owners and staff were really, really friendly which is always the difference between a good place to eat and drink and a great place to eat and drink. If you're that side of Weymouth visiting the Fort then make sure you stop by.

What an amazing place lovely scenery, scrumptious food great service and the tranquil relaxed atmosphere is well worth absorbing. Well worth a visit. Highly recommend the cream tea or icecream or both like I did. I will be back for sure

Absolutely amazing coffee, very good hot chocolate (not too sweet) and fantastic freshly pressed orange juice! The Atmosphere is great and there is nice seating which is kept very clean. The staff are very friendly as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Especially when it’s not busy.

One of Weymouth's best kept secrets. Visitors walking the stone pier can recover with one of the finest coffees available. Decent food as well. Lovely to relax and enjoy harbour and bay views.

Lovely crab sandwiches, perfect coffee, and delicious cake, all sat on picnic tables on the harbour. Serene and satisfying.

Fabulous grilled mackrell served here. I know if you go to an expensive restaurant you get well prepared food. But if you want the best traditional, local food it's best to go to an unpretentious cafe. That's what I did here, it cost £11 and was delicious. I would bet its never been frozen and was caught only a day before.

We love this place, its lovely on nice hot day. We've love the quality of the food, the sea food if fantastic, we love the whitebait, calamari and prawns. Great location right by the sea. Nice place to get a beer or a glass of wine. Not the cheapest but the quality is decent. Be careful they stop serving food at 4pm during the week.

We came on a sunny day and it’s absolutely gorgeous to sit right next to the harbour eating fresh crab and cod sandwiches.

They got the best view, offering a relaxing ambience while enjoying sandwiches. The crew even promotes healthy living by offering alternative products instead of a popular chocolate bar to another customer. Their crab sandwich is by far the best one i had in my life, so fresh and flavourful. Will definitely come back gor more!

Sweet place to visit for a more low key lunch! The line is worth it. Crab was so fresh and a lovely environment definitely helped it all along!

It’s pretty good. No hot food after 4pm so got cake and milkshake instead. Would’ve been nice to have gotten a plate rather than a napkin, especially as we said we were ‘eating-in’ not taking away. Milkshake had a good flavour but wasn’t that cold. £1.30 for water, not too bad. They have a toilet which is clean and very convenient. Outside seating area plus benches nearby. A good location for great views.

Awesome cafe, our favourite in Weymouth by far. Tasty food and really great staff and to top it all off the best location right on the waters edge just by the harbour entrance, so peaceful and what a view!
