San Pietro Restaurant Windermere

We have tried to book in here on a number of occasions but it has always been booked up so we booked quite a while ago. After our experience here we can fully understand why you need to book in advance! The Restaurant itself is really lovely inside with a really nice, rustic décor. The Team are very friendly & attentive and the food is gorgeous. I ordered Garlic Prawn starter & Mrs K ordered the dressed Goat's cheese with fig & pear and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Garlic Prawns were delicious with plenty of sauce to enjoy too My Mother & Father in Law both ordered the Fillet Steak and I enjoyed a beef dish from the specials, Mrs K ordered wild mushroom ravioli with a creamy wine garlic sauce. She said it was the best dish she has ever had which is quite some compliment given the amount of times we eat out. My beef was so tender I think I could have eaten it with a spoon and the gravy that came with it really complimented the dish. The steaks were great and the sides that accompanied it were sumptuous too We were all too full to even think of a dessert but we really enjoyed our dinners and we would definitely recommend this Restaurant to anyone! Remember book early to avoid disappointment!

Great food, atmosphere and service by the team. Staffs were welcoming and accommodating. Big portions is always a plus especially when the food is delicious. Best arancini I’ve had so far!

What a find. Booked last minute and very lucky to get a table. Food and decor was 💯 but the staff made our night. Super friendly and excellent service. Can’t wait to return

An absolutely amazing evening of tantalising the tastebuds. A wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment as the restaurant was very busy. Can't recommend the food enough, it was beautiful the sea bass and the brisket are a must try. For dessert, try the tiramisu....

We have been recommended this place by one of our friends who visited a while back and had great experience. We booked in advance as we were worried there will be no space left. Got a warm welcome and got seated straight away. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had calamari and prawns dish for starters. Prawns were amazing, fresh, large, cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Calamari very fresh, very little batter, garlic dip outstanding. For mains we ordered seafood pasta and duck dish. Seafood pasta was lovely. All seafood fresh and cooked well, however, a little bit too creamy and saucy for our liking. Duck dish outstanding!!! Can't fault it. We decided to try the sticky toffee pudding for dessert as we both had many before and this one was our favourite so far. Very light, fluffy, not too sweet. Staff were all very friendly, answered all questions, and explained what we asked for. Atmosphere lovely, music a little too loud and not to our taste but in general we had a lovely experience and would definitely come back again. I read lots of reviews about this place and must say that all the negative ones are very surprising to us. I'm glad I didn't read them before visiting as I would probably hesitate to visit. However, our experience was nothing but pleasant and highly recommended. Looks like each for their own. I often feel like the first impression will always be the most important and no matter how lovely the food or the rest of the staff, there will be something to complain about. No complaints from us!!! 4 star overall !!
