Decided to go here after work as it had been closed recently. It was good service nice and quick, they will be kicking off the carvery again from 19th of January so I'll be looking forward to trying that. Had some games of pool. The crowd seemed to be a good bunch. I'll be going again :-)

Open again with Jim and Mandy at the counter. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, impeccable pints.

Place is clean and staff are very helpful. Freindly atmosphere and in tbe centre of town. The Guiness is to die for! Will be returning.

Nice little boozer, had the darts on served nice ale, lacked a bit of atmosphere for me but it was only a Thursday night tbf

Great food witch can be eaten at bar or a large dinning room or even outside, the bar is friendly and has local ales and cider, cheap accommodation and Thursday karaoke is brilliant

Friendly helpful staff lovely Carvery and lovely selection of puddings! !! Just a shame they had to put the Price up, or, not guarantee doing Carvery anymore.

Excellent hotel pub and restaurant, good friendly service, proper pub banter at the bar if that's what you want, perfect well priced food and good accommodation, large enough so it has separate areas to cater for all different tastes, centre of town, buses from the railway stations stop nearly outside.

I stayed the night while driving to my holiday location. I'm quite happy with the service. They were kind enough to help if they were all booked.

Lovely room was Abit cold at night though. Music night was bit loud but wasn't annoying. Only thing that annoyed us was drunken people stumbling to there rooms banging about..
