The Parkin is with a deep ginger flavour and a comforting warmth from the spices not overly sweet. The flat white and cappuccino , however, were just so so , drinkable but lacking the depth
Great stopping point for refreshment in York. Directly opposite the Minster, so a great view to the outside and a warm atmosphere inside. Sraff were really friendly. As tourists we opted for local flavours of Yorkshire Tea and Parkin, which was ideal. The more substantial lunches going to other tables looked good too.

Great café, right in front of York Minster, incredible view of the Cathedral. The scones were superb, still warm. The preserve was very good. Also had some parkin, which is basically a local ginger/spiced cake. The members of staff were very nice. The price was fair - great quality/price ratio. Recommended.
Nice cafe, nothing special. Scone with jam and cream was very nice, but the waitress was hanging around waiting for tables to leave. Felt rushed like your being timed. And the minute youfinished they have cleared the table and bought the bill.
