Absolutely wonderful food, great service and a good selection. Up there with the best steaks we've ever had!!
We came across this place while wondering around York. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and spotless. Food was excellent, never had an Onglet cut of steak but it was devine and cooked to perfection. Went again at night on eat out to help out and had the burger which was delicious. Prices were excellent value for the high standard of food. The drinks selection was a great quirky mix, my favourites being the Thistly Cider and Bristol Independence and loved the Voodoo man glass it was served in, you need to sell these! Wish I'd tried the Yeasty Boys beer as well, I save that for next time I visit!
Went for a late lunch with my mum and had a burger each. I got the chick and she got the new Yorker, both amazingly tastey burgers and cooked perfectly! Thought I'd have a desert as well, decided to get the proper home made brownie and ice cream which is the best I've had out of anywhere else I've been in york! You also get a free pot of popcorn to nibble on when you arrive. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and American themed. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again and would recommend everyone to visit!
Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The food was amazing. My husband had the T-bone steak and it defeated him. Everything was cooked perfectly. Obviously going for a meal during the current restrictions made it a different kind of dining experience but the staff were fantastic and did all they could to make our evening perfect. Will definitely visit again.
I love Burgers and the new yorker burger from here is the best burger i have ever had (and i consider McDonald's to be inedible) and you may think i am exaggerating but i really am not. The place is spotless and the staff are super friendly and cannot do enough for you. I only gave this place 5 stars because you cannot give more. P.s try the on skin chips they are lovely.
I ordered from here on Just Eat. I had the Chick Burger and Skin on fries. It was amazing. I was also given some free salted popcorn and some sweet salad type relish, was very nice. Super fast delivery too must have been only 20 minutes. Thanks :)
Possibly the best steak I have ever had! The rest of the meal with the family was astounding. Couldn’t be better, definitely recommend. Awesome, friendly staff and very accommodating of various tastes. Do not miss out on this wonderful restaurant.
My Husband and I love York, we love the atmosphere, the bars, cafes, shops and food. Now we have discovered another reason to love York, Bull & Co, on Walmagate.
This place makes, hands down, one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. My husband and I had a New Yorker and the combination of juicy Beef, tangy Sour Krout and Salty Pastrami proved to be a flavour sensation topped of by a perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle toasted Brioche Bun.
We had an accompanying side of perfectly seasoned Skin on Fries washed down by a Sprite Zero (of course).
The atmosphere was perfect with an enjoyable mix of 50's and 60's music. The waiting staff were very attentive and the place was spotlessly clean.
Would I eat here again? Yes, without a doubt. Probably tonight for tea.
First date night since February and we decided to give here a try. 100% worth it. The food was amazing and not too heavy, the milkshakes were fun and nostalgic and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning!

I got a burger, which I liked, despite there is room for an improvement: the bun. Too dry, too big and not soft enough. Nice to see, not to eat.
