Conveniently located round the corner from where we were staying in York - bills is definitely a great place to visit for breakfast or brunch! Just be aware it is quite popular so can get pretty busy, maybe if you are going on a weekend, then reserve a table beforehand. The vibe in here was pretty relaxed even though it was so busy, didn’t feel rushed. They don’t serve halal meat so we went for the veggie options which there were plenty of! Husband and elder daughter went for the salmon royale, which they both really enjoyed and polished off. The garden breakfast consisted of eggs topped with hollandaise, mushrooms, potato hash (these were amazing!) beans, smashed avocado, grilled halloumi and some toast - great value for money, so filling, couldn’t eat it all but everything on the plate was super tasty!! With the little ones pancakes, we forgot to tell them that she doesn’t like maple syrup so asked if we could change them for different ones, they were more than happy to - great customer service. The coffee and mocha were also really good. Enjoyed our breakfast.

Had a lovely burger here. The quality of the food is top notch and we got a free kids meal with the main. All in it was £13 for burger and kids chicken and chips. More than reasonable for the quality of the food. Only criticism is the chips are rather oily. But you get that everywhere. The restaurant is nicely furnished. Highly recommended

Our family first visit to York. We was excited and when we looking to take a rest and get some food we find a problem to looking for a place as we had lots of bad experience to find nice place to eat,in lots of places food not very good. So we try Bill's as well and we was surprised with everything. Food is nice,my kids not eating everything and they find what food they ordered was really nice,they finished it😂 and thats never happened before..so yea 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟inside as well 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 absolutely beautiful, in hot wither there is nice fresh, as well where is table activity for kids ,they have coloring paper and creals. Very nice yong gentlemen was looking after as, attention,calm voice, good aura of him.. very nice 👌 but one minus is 💧 🚰 ABSOLUTELY YUKKY, can't dring it,was warm,no ice in side,bad tastes ,so if you need water best to do is bring your own. Really not nice tastes.. But it not brake me to give you nice review as we really appreciate with your service and food. Well done Bill's Restaurant.

How have I not been here before, it was lovely Relaxed dining at its best. The decor was lovely, mix of old and new, big Chesterfield's, bougie velvet chairs, chandeliers,trunking, glass ceilings, wooden tables, pendant shades. The menu was fab, lots of choice for veggies and meat heads. Full drinks menu, I had a pinot and it was delicious and didn't taste like vinegar! The food was fantastic, couldn't fault it. Service was great too, friendly and polite Would recommend and visit again, and again 😁

What a fabulous restaurant to visit. Fabulous decor throughout, polite professional staff and last but not least, their food is fantastic.. It's the full package. So the tree of us had starters. I had calamari, the others had tuna carpaccio with tacos. We had a side of flat garlic bread and side salads. Crispy, dry calamari that was still tender inside. The tuna was fabulous too, gently seared on the outside as you'd expect. We had cocktails that were nicely made without tonnes of ice. Now the main meals were spot on. Tasty, moist and full of flavour. I had truffle chicken 2 ways with chips, the others had the same with mash. It was amazing food. The price was good for three of us with 2 cocktails each and a bottle of wine. Service charge is added with 3 options which is fair as the service was excellent throughout our meal. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly visit again. Many thanks.
