The team are so kind, friendly, accommodating and provide so much communication to ensure you are happy with every tiny detail of your special day.
For anyone looking for a venue that is intimate, stunning and takes as much stress out of the planning process as possible, I cannot recommend Caroline & the team at Cote How enough.

Our elopement wedding at Cote Howe was perfect, we chose the fireside romance package, which was everything we hoped for, it was so relaxing, absolutely no stress at all, we had a glass of mulled wine on arrival whilst sitting by the fire listening to our playlist. The flowers provided by the in house florist were perfect. They lasted a full two weeks, absolutely perfect for our colour theme. We wanted a day to remember without any stress and that’s what we got, Caroline and Rachael were brilliant, and very warm and welcoming, Steve was our photographer and he captured the wedding beautifully.
The location is second to none, the rain held off so that we could don our walking boots and walk to river and Rydal Water for some great pictures which certainly captured the happiness and joy of the day.
We really can’t recommend Cote Howe enough.

Well where do we start.
Our elopement at Cote How could not have been more perfect. We feel as if we are now part of a very special family and we honestly would encourage any couple thinking about an elopement/ small wedding to consider cote how.
The house, barn and surrounding ground are just breathtaking and allow your photographer to capture some really beautiful photographs.
Caroline and Rachel helped us plan our elopment in just over a month, as we opted for a short notice elopement due to the perfect date being available. Caroline helped us book the registrars to ensure we could go ahead with this date, as there was some uncertainty at the beginning, but thankfully she made it happen.
Rachel showed us round the beautiful house/grounds a few weeks before the big day and helped us decide how the day would run. They helped us sort out the flowers and also gave advice on how we could announce our marriage to family / friends.
It was so important to us to include our daughter in our day (she had not long turned one), Caroline and Rachel could not have been more accommodating about this if they tried. They ensured that all aspects of the day were tailored to her being involved. They were also so amazing with her on the day.
I don't think we will ever be able to thank them both enough for what they did for us. Cote how is such a special and magical place and now holds so many wonderful memories for us as a family.

We didn’t know we were looking for Cote Howe until we found it! We had long talked about eloping one day but didn’t feel the registry office or traditional hotel options were very ‘us’. Then we found Cote Howe on Instagram. An idyllic, private venue. Surrounded by nature, with the beautiful Ambleside hills and Rydal water on its doorstep. Not to mention a small, incredibly friendly team of experts to help you plan the perfect day. The amount of thought and consideration that Caroline, Rachel and Steve have put into supporting their wedding clients is absolutely incredible. From an initial introductory meeting with zero pressure to book and lots of opportunity to ask questions; to all the information and articles Caroline has created to help with planning. This included an amazing list of local suppliers, like hotels, restaurants, photographers, hair & make-up stylists- even pet sitters! The team truly made the process of arranging our elopement so smooth and simple. On the day we were relaxed and able to enjoy the time together without any anxiety or stress. Meeting Caroline and Rachel also felt like meeting two friends and there were no uncomfortable moments or awkward silences despite it being only the two of us there. Thank you, Cote Howe team, for making us feel so special and understood.
We recently eloped to Cote How and it was better than we could have wished for!

Thank you so much Caroline and Rachel for making our day so memorable. 100% recommend to anyone who’s thinking of eloping to the Lake District, this is certainly the place!
The walk up to the cave is also an absolute must for those who love adventure! Such a stunning place!
Absolutely wonderful from start to finish, the venue is exactly what we were looking for and the hosts were flawless.

Caroline and Rachel made our day perfect and even managed to find me some wedding flowers with less than 24 hours notice. They are so kind and accommodating, which made our day even more special.
Steve was our photographer and very professional, giving us some amazing pictures with memories to treasure. The views and scenic sights make the venue a natural haven, which made our pictures breathtakingly beautiful. We are so excited to see the final prints.

We had an elopement wedding at Cote How on June 14th and were absolutely blown away by how special our day was. It was always going to be Cote How for us due to the stunning location and professional but friendly team. Caroline was amazing and so supportive, the communication was excellent right from making the initial enquiry and even up to the night before our wedding, she made the whole process so easy and stress free. Being an elopement and 'just the two of us' we were worried it might feel a little awkward, we couldn't have been more wrong. Everything was relaxed, romantic and beautiful but above everything else we had fun and laughter (and a few happy tears)

Me and Helen got married at Cote How in May 2023. Thank you so much Caroline for giving us the most perfect elopement wedding we could have asked for. From the start Caroline was so friendly and helpful with recommendations for places to eat, things to do and where to stay during our mini break in the lakes. We will never forget Cote How for as long as we live, it is almost fairy tale like how beautiful it stands and with the backdrop of the hills and lakes.
We wanted an elopement wedding as it suited us both and it more than lived up to what we were hoping. It was a perfect day.

Thank you so much everyone at Cote How for a perfect day, I was worried the rain would ruin it but Caroline made it all flow seamlessly and ensured we could have the ceremony outside the barn which we had set our hearts on! You feel at home from the second you walk in and what a beautiful place to walk in ! Everything is perfect and immaculate inside and out! It was a really special day for us and thank you so much for accommodating us at short notice. The icing on the cake was the beautiful candle gift which smells just like Cote How, what a beautiful touch that is.

We had an incredible intimate 2 hour wedding at Cote How. We stumbled across the venue online and managed to book our wedding at short notice - just 8 weeks before the big day!
Caroline, Sophie and Steve were fantastic thoughout, helping us to plan our ideal wedding in such little time. They were responsive and helped us all of the way.
On the day the venue took our breath away. It is stunning. So much more beautiful than we anticipated. Caroline and Steve greeted us, helping us and our guests (15 humans and our bridesmaid dogs!) to feel welcome.
We had a wonderful service in the outdoor barn, followed by confetti, photos, drinks and a wander round to Rydal Lake.
Our whole time at Cote How was perfect and exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you for such a beautiful, memorable day. Shannen & Ben xx
