Meals are always great ive been to many carvery but can never top dale tavern its beautifull food
Great place to have a great time, have a laugh with friends and family and too sing the best way I can lol xxxx
Found this establishment thru word of mouth quite a few months ago, and been coming ever since. Outstanding Sunday Carvery, one of the best. and advisable to book. Its a free house run by Donna & Jed, who are very welcoming and friendly, and so are the staff. They do a similar Carvery on Wednesdays and Fridays and its cheep, around a tenner for a Carvery Meal and a pint. You don't have to book just turn up between 12.00 and 2.00 on a Wednesday or Friday. The customers are mostly pensioners (we are) but I have seen family's and younger people there, but I think they have to pay a little bit more. And after your meal you can sit (weather permitting) in a pleasant pub garden. Try this place out, and I guarantee you will come again and again, as we do. Chris and Mags
Never had a bad cavery yet from dale tavern we go more or less everyweek, staff are polite apart from 1 lady on the cavery section she's a little abrupt but apart from that definitely recommend
WE WERE'NT DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS WARM FRIENDLY FAMILY RUN PUB. DONNA AN GED ARE THE HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTEST. WARM CLEAN AND THE BEER 🍺UNBELIEVABLE. CHECK OUT THE PHOTO'S PLEASE AND MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP. CHILDRENS PLAY AREA AND LOTS OF SPACE. SUNDAY ROASTS NEED BOOKING THOUGH
Went to the Wednesday lunchtime carvery. The food is excellent and very reaonably priced. Tge pub itself has seen better days but well worth a visit.
First time here, we went for my mum's 80th birthday party, nice buffet and reasonably priced drinks.
I have been enjoying Sunday lunch here for several years. One visit is never enough. Great food, great staff, super venue. Highly recommended.
First visit to the Dale Tavern. First impression from the outside was that it looked a little tired and in need of a bit of paint. Plenty of parking space but the surface is a little uneven. Inside was lovely, decorated to a very good standard, clean and very tidy. Sadly we hadn't booked in to eat so cannot comment on food but it looked and smelled delicious. No craft ale so was left with a pint of Smiths, I can't remember seeing another bitter on offer but there may have been. Plenty of lagers to choose from though. Staff were pleasant enough, though being a new face I felt I could've had a warmer welcome. All in all a very well presented warm and nice place. We will definitely be returning only Next time we'll be booked in.
Had my dad's wake on the 14 th I would like to thank the Landlady and staff for the friendly service and excellent value buffet
Tuesday’s 60’s night, usually with a live band and a great disc jockey
Excellent Sunday Lunch in a lovely venue and the staff were all so nice. Will definitely be returning.
