I mean, I'm kind of mad about this. Because it was very possibly the best cinnamon bun I've ever had and I live nowhere close. This is everything a local bakery should be. It's small, cute, cosy, produce driven and filled with tasty goods. When I attended on a Monday they didn't have much choice at all - no breads, not much by way of savouries - but I'm glad I bought a cinnamon bun. I didn't even make it across the street because I had to turn back and get another, and a chocolate chip cookie for good measure. Truly top notch bakery. I'd be chuffed if this was my local.

Recommend to come early as they often sold most of their baked goods out! The cinnamon bun and I am not sure of the name but the beef bun in the picture was super good!

The moment I got off the train I made a beeline straight there, which was a great decision on my part. I go to a LOT of bakeries and I can easily say this is one of the best bakeries I've visited in the UK to date. There was an incredible selection, and everything I bought was laminated to perfection and full of flavour. The Eccles Cake, Pump Street Cookie and Pig's Ear were some of the best pastries I've tasted in a long time, and the pastrami pizza was impeccable too.

We came for pastries 2 out of the 3 days we were in Bath. It would have been 3 but they are closed on Sundays! Amazing breads, Sammie’s and pastries and friendly, knowledgeable folks. I peppered them with questions about their flour, locally sourced and milled! Not to be missed in Bath!

Always amazing. Their bread and pastries are always fantastic. Had a cinnamon roll today, so delicious. The perfect level of sweetness balanced with cinnamon and the softest dough ever! Cappuccino was lush too.

Fantastic little bakery with delicious baked cakes and buns. Chocolate cookie was just incredible, need to arrive earlier next time before the sausage rolls sell out

When you preorder a cinnamon bun, and it's handed to you through a window straight out of the oven 🤤 Not our first visit to Landrace and certainly not our last. A beautiful bakery for take away lunch, pastries, breads and other essentials 👀 We sampled a country loaf, cinnamon bun and a chocolate chip sea salt cookie. All 5/5 👌 📅 Visited in January 2023

Landrace is known for specializing in sourdough bread from stoneground UK grains. They also locally source their ingredients. It smells delicious as you enter through the front door. They have their local shop on the main floor and their bakery, and upstairs is a little cafe/restaurant. They have everything from Country Loaf to Cinnamon Buns, and let me tell you… the cinnamon buns are to die for. My partner also said that the sourdough bread was the best bread he has ever had… Additionally, Landrace is less than a 10-minute walk from the city centre and a stop you should be making. They also have an online shop and do local deliveries!

It opened at night in one of my favs cafe in Bath. Nicely designed rotating staircase opened an unexpected turn waiting for you upstairs. The restaurant was airy, light, musical with an open kitchen design. Menu changed with season but I found it not full of vasty options. Food is fresh, natural flavoured with some interesting twists. Service is busy and friendly with timely delivery on each dish. It would be a good choice for some casual night outs.

Amazing food, amazing service and a beautiful space. We ordered the clams, lambs hearts with picked walnuts, seasonal greens with mozzarella to start (and the chef gave us a DELICIOUS plate of fried cheddar on the house!). All of them were exceptional, the lambs hearts were seriously off the charts. We had the ravioli (an instant classic) and perfectly cooked duck on delicious beetroot for mains, which were both wonderful. We managed to squeeze in a single dessert, the beautiful fig tart to top it all off. The complimentary sourdough from the downstairs bakery was also some of the best bread and butter we've ever had! I can't recommend Upstairs highly enough for a beautiful meal with a thoughtful, fresh and unusual menu.
