What a place, what a people. I remember when 🦍 first opened and I thought to myself 'Is Brum ready for a Cycle Cafe' the answer? An emphatic YES. The cafe is great, the people are wonderful but here's a particular shout out to the lads in the workshop (yes they have a bike workshop hidden away upstairs). I had a complicated job I needed done and it requires both skill, diligence and focus. Boy did they deliver! So so grateful. A truly great place!

Recently had brunch here and the food was amazing. Really interesting and varied menu, including some great veggie options. The coffees and harissa scrambled eggs were perfect!

Best place to get a coffee in kings heath. Also the bike shop is really helpful. Got mine serviced there and also got it repaired after being hit by a car. They were really helpful with outlining my options and pointed out some things to consider replacing in the more distant future based on my bike's wear and tear.

First time we'd been here... Its been open for years and we are local.. We are now asking myself.. 'Why did we leave it so long!!!'. What a lovely place. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Very clean, very busy, lovely atmosphere, all age ranges were in there and fantastic food. The coffees and food we had were soooo nice.
Thank you... looking forward to returning... quite a few times....

After a number of years I came back to the Gorilla coffee cafe and the food was as good as I'd remembered. I came in last week with a friend and came back on my own today and I had the same gorilla breakfast which was awesome, even down to the mushroom which was very tasty. The meat loaf bacon wrap thing was fantastic, never had this before. I had a hot chocolate last week and it was better than any of the place I've been too. Staff were very friendly, attentive, polite and helpful. Thank you from my friend and myself. We will be back.

Had the gorilla breakfast.. Was huge plate of food! 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, fresh tomato, baked beans in a ramikan, spinach and mushrooms. DELICIOUS 😋! Great coffee. All served with a smile, in a clean cafe, which has a (road?) racing bike fixed on the wall. There is a quotation by Eddie Mercx, painted on the wall. Rack to park your bike.... And you can sit outside. Highly recommended. January 2023...it's just as it is described above. I had the gorilla breakfast again and it was DELICIOUS 😋. May 2023. Just as good last time!

This is Bedder's Fish and Chips, Mad O' Rouke's Pie and Mash, Duran Duran, Ozzy and Toni are just some of the great Midlands collaborations. Well, throw in cycles and coffee at Gorilla Coffee Cafe! This brummie institution is a beautiful, bright spacious cafe that is finely tuned for the the road cyclist. If it's the start of your cycling adventure or you've got a thirst on after a heavy day in the saddle, get over here. The staff are lovely, the coffee is great, they even serve local ales. Just find a pew amongst the abundance of seats and rest your weary lycra.

More than just a coffee shop 🚴🍰☕🍾🍻🍴🐣
Coffee shop/cycle maintenance/meeting place.
Yes, the cake is huge + the coffee great.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere with an area for the kids to get creative on a giant black board.
For the cyclists amongst you, a full bike service or free advice on yr bike if like me - not been on a bike in years is available.
If you rock up on yr push-bike, they have locks available for u to tether yr bike to outside.
Recreational bike rides take place from here, just ask James.
Oh yes, free wi-fi too

The cafe accommodated us for a pint of beer and cake. We enjoyed sitting outside in the glorious sun it attracted. The service was very friendly, and we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. I must remember to come more often.

This is our second home! Cycled to it with my son today! James and the gang are some of the loveliest peeps you can meet! Very knowledgeable about cycling, with a great maintenance and repair workshop. Always on offer is free water to go with your coffee (few coffee shops in Brum offer that as standard), cycle locks and pumps! 👍🏻
