We have eaten here a few times in the past. Always a cheerful welcome by all staff
The food is wonderful, tasty and most importantly served hot.
Itās in a great location on New Street whether you are doing some retail therapy, visiting the German Christmas Market or just fancy a bite to eat
The restaurant does get full so booking is advised especially on a Friday and Saturday this can be done easily from the website

Even though it was busy, the lovely staff at the door kept us updated and got us seated as soon as possible. Cocktails were nice. Risotto portions aren't very filling, but the pizza and pasta are good. Enjoyed the cookie dough dessert!

Bella Italia Birmingham is bound to become my second home š
The staff are so so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy and inviting, and customers are always cared for. The food is amazing and tasted delicious. I would like to emphasise my recommendation on the staff, that always do the best they can, even at busy times. Shout out to all that work there- you deserve the best! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - overall a lovely experience :)

This is the best Italian food Iāve ever had in UK. Had the lasagna and it was out of this world. Was lost for words to be honest. Great atmosphere, great service. Would come back again, any time.

Called in close to closing time but they let us have a table. The food was really good and the staff friendly and helpful. We had a Margarita pizza and the sea bass. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and the chips were really good and crunchy.

We had a lovely meal here at Bella Italia in Birmingham before our Elton John Concert. The food as always is really good and great value for money. The service was excellent and we were really well looked after. Thank you.

We had Amy as our server for a table of 8 people. she was unreal! so attentive, she gave us plenty of time, explained options, how everything worked, table was already set up with lemon water before we arrived. We even asked for the manager to say how fantastic she was!!! Honestly a credit to your company it was a very super busy time too and we still felt well looked after. Thank you Amy and the team at Bella Italia Birmingham. I had a fantastic 40th birthday meal.

Pre booked expecting it to be busy on a Friday with the Christmas market, it was reasonably busy but unnecessary.
Service was good and friendly but wife struggled being sat on high stool near the bar.
Side was a little disappointing in portion size, and was surprised when I was served my pizza without a cutter, then when I asked was told, they're all in the pot wash at the moment.
Pizza was lovely as was the wifes dish and portion size on main was very generous, never got offered the extra cheese which was a shame.
Atmosphere inside was nice but was a little off put by staff splitting the tips in view behind the desert barš¤·āāļø
Would eat here again but maybe be a bit more insistent on where were sat and getting what's expected from prior visits.

I visited Bella with my 2 young kids. Great choice of food for children, they really enjoyed they food. I also enjoyed my bruchetta and chicken millanaise. Staff very attentive and friendly. Big thank you to Aryan and Amy that served us today.

We prebooked a table On the easy to use website. Running behind schedule we were able to change the time at short notice. Arrived and seated. Welcomed by all staff. Explained we were going to do the Easter Childrenās offer. Order taken and food served within 35 minutes. No problems with any of the food or service. We needed to leave as had a theatre booking. The waitress kindly boxed the childrenās brownies in takeaway boxes it wasnāt a problem at all. Very happy with the full experience and would book here again.
Only one point to make; we thought it would be good to order food via the QR link on the table. Started but there wasnāt the Calzone listed so couldnāt complete the order. The waitress then came over and took our order anyway. We expected everything to take time but it was pretty slick service. Childrenās food was a good size portion and we were really pleased with the Easter offer of childās meal Ā£1 with an Adult Main.

Wonderful evening out. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The food was great, we went as a group of 6 and every one really enjoyed their meals so much I didn't get to take photos. Mom's quite fussy, but even she was pleased.
We were so comfortable, we had cocktails and even desserts, everything was beautifully presented. Was offered recyclable containers for any left overs.
Such a warm environment with low music in the background. We will definitely return!

Had a nice afternoon here... Good menu and relaxed atmosphere š

been before but this time was awful had the pollo siciliano and it was a meal to forget ācomes with lemon tarragon sauceā no lemon at all which was very obvious had no burst of freshness and the lack of acidity left the sauce greasy
3 pieces of chicken which wasnt very big clearly half a breast and the pasta tasted of nothing im a chef myself so i can clearly tell the pasta is unseasoned in unsalted water
to top it off my drinks was 90% ice 3 sips through the straw and was gone and my waitress disappeared leaving me with empty plates for atleast 15 mins and my pizza i ordered with no olives sum how came with olives in the salad? hello? if i said no olives why would i want olives in my salad that comes on the same dish?
my first experience was great which is why i came again but now i doubt i will be back
so after having 3 different waiters one whos english is awful i came to desert which the one i wanted so happened to be out of stock ļæ½

The place is nice and kids friendly. I would rate it better than Ask Italian. The polo pizza was tasty and had a uniqueness about the way chef cooked it. Pasta was equally pleasant to the pallet and onions with roasted vegetables were adding to the overall flavour.Would recommend it to anyone who wants to try a good Italian cuisine.

Been twice, always been real busy each time but you get warned if there is going to be a wait for food, worth waiting tho
Had a menu change tho and the dessert platter had changed, much preferred the old deserts before the change

Ā£9.99 for a palm sized "pizza" (a few pieces of veg on a pizza bread, no cheese) and "bowl of salad" (tiny size, half of the spinach leaves light yellow so not eatable). What a rip off! Tried it once, definitely never again.

Service not good burger couldnāt even cut through with a knife and to top it all the core of the onion on my burger will not be returning

A busy but nice restaurant plenty of selection and fair prices ,service always good mannered and polite also quick after ordering, only negative the draft beer goes flat very quickly.
The Restaurant is well situated in the city centre not far from the Bullring shopping centre and other shops including Grand Central

I would give it no stars if I could.
Had a meal at the Bella Italia on New Street in Birmingham last friday (10th August). The following is completely unacceptable:
- The slowest service I have ever received, despite having maybe 6 tables, and 3 waiting staff; what were they doing? It certainly wasnt waiting.
- My fiancee informed me that the ladies toilets were literally overflowing and was unable to use them. This was the case throughout the night.
- They accidentally made the wrong dessert and had to start from scratch, adding to the already ridiculious wait time.
- They shortchanged us, as they simply didnt have any change.
And the worst thing, the absolute worst thing, is the staff on site didnt apologise when i brought this to their attention...
AND I emailed their central customer service team over a week ago and have heard nothing.
If they care so little about their customers, then they won't be getting any more business out of me, my family or anybody I have moment to relay this to.
Look for your dinner elsewhere.
Jane Cook
Lovely food and staff were very pleasant, but my momās handbag was stolen while we were eating lunch today, by an apparent diner! Such a horrible experience. Please be extra vigilant if dinning in the area ļæ½

Food was very bland and lacking flavour. Pasta was very dry. I had the spinach ricotta lasagne and it was supposed to be an alternative to the cannelloni but it wasn't nice. When mentioned it to the waitress I was told she had received lots of negatives comments about it and she had told the chefs.

We popped in before a show and had a great meal, really fresh. We said we were in a hurry so ordered main and a starter sharing flat bread. This came out really quick considering it was a busy Friday night. I had a really tasty spag Bol. Well worth a visit

Sad to say this is my first negative review I've ever put on Facebook for a business, but my girlfriend and I had such a terrible experience something needed to be said.
Went in early (around half 4) as it was quite quiet and wanted to miss the mad rush. Started off very well, had a friendly waitress and our starters came very promptly.
Then it went downhill from there. Our finished starters were not cleared away for a good 20/25 minutes, and only when we had asked for more drinks.
Then to main course, which after an additional 20/25 minutes had still not arrived. We wouldn't have minded at all, but having seen three groups of other people arriving, being served starters/mains and paid up, it seemed we had been forgotten about! I asked if our meals would be ready for us soon, and this was sorted promptly, albeit minus apology.
During mains however, no check back and yet again, another 20/25 minutes with empty plates it was only asking for the bill that prompted them. Again we were seeing other customers being tended to and looked after very well. Tables were even cleared around us and yet again, we were ignored unless prompted.
This charade carried on again when the bill was received, and yet another 10/15 minute wait and further prompting to get the bill paid, despite knowing my card was already out and ready to pay straightaway. The staff seemed to be paying attention to the "regulars" and for the 3rd or 4th time both me and my girlfriend felt we were being ignored.
I would like to point out that no member of staff apologised at any point for any of our delays, and I had the impression they thought we were inconveniencing them.
In summary:
- A quiet time of the day for a two course meal led to one hour and a half of chasing up orders and clearing of plates.
- Staff who seemed to not notice we were there unless we asked them, with no check backs and no apologies.
- Favouritism of other customers who seemed to be able to come and go in much less time than us.
I'm really sorry for the long rant, it's not like me to complain but we were so upset by the whole scenario. I would like to point out the food was LOVELY and full compliments to the kitchen staff. It's just a shame that front of house the poor service has left us being put off going to a Bella Italia again, let alone this franchise.
Yours,
Matt

The food was well prepared but for an Italian restaurant I was expecting more. The place was crowded and a bit noisy.. and then again I don't think it was an extraordinary experience. A good place for couples or friends I guess
Nat Price
The food took too long to come out and was tasteless and very bland. The waiters also seemed very stressed and took too long to serve us when there wasn't many customers.
