The place itself seemed pretty clean just the food took a little longer than expected. The Balti we ordered couldn't come in mild due to the fact they would have to put cream in it (not making it a balti) so we had to order the medi.which was quite spicy. Other thaan that the customer service was ok they didn't come to check on us while we were eating but they did offer complementary chocolates at the end.

Nice clean restaurant. Good people and friendly staff. Food was excellent and not too expensive. The style is like an old traditional restaurant that is dying in the current trend of dining cuisines. Well may it last and fly the flag of how a restaurant should look and feel like. It also has a private room upstairs that can be booked for parties. You can get in about 150 to 200 people. 😎😎🤩🤩

Tasty food. Service is a bit slow, however it isn't too bad. The food is nice, it is not very spicy. The only slight point I felt was the fact that I ordered Katlama for starter and I felt it was too filling, so maybe the restaurant could reduce the size of the portion (and decrease price of it)

I have come to this clean hygienic restaurant a few times now. The three brothers who own this are humble and will go above and beyond to cater for your needs. The food here is fresh and not re-heated etc. Parking free for restaurant users and there’s a mosque next door as well. I hear you asking what about the big “BUT” bit...
The curry’s are okay and you have the option of making it as hot or mild as you like. The chicken tikka sizzler is a MUST try. Nice selection of signature milkshakes as well to sooth the heat!!
The variations on the menu will be enough to keep you coming back to try other things..
The biggest plus is the positive attitude and attention to detail by the owners. Genuinely nice people who take pride in this place and will do “anything” to satisfy customers.
I would RECOMMEND this place but please note there are other curry houses half the price I would also try.
Now your wondering why do I keep coming back?
It’s the friendly owner and if anything is a miss, I promise you will be looked after.
But please do try the hidden gems hidden around Birmingham as well. It’s not fair I name them here (see my other reviews) to remain impartial. There’s something for everyone here that is worth trying.
If not meet the owners at least you will guarantee leave with a smile no matter what.

Before going there I was a bit alarmed about the one star comments and apparent rat sightings but I went there anyway.
I saw no rats inside or outside so that was a good start. The place looked clean and as if it had been recently renovated; new looking paint on clean walls, counters shiny and floors clean too. In general a pleasant looking restaurant.
The waiters were friendly and reasonably fast. They forgot initially to bring my daughter's chicken wings but upon mentioning this we got the food quickly on our table so not a big deal.
The food was good. Our main course was several small vegetarian portions which all adults shared and they all were tasty. The nan bread was biggest one I have seen. All OK there.
The reason I took one star off was that we had to use same cutlery with main course as with starters and the tray the nan bread was on was something like a plastic tray from a school cafeteria. Quite acceptable to me but not five stars worth.

Very rude and arrogant owner. Please do not go to this restaurant. The food came which wasn't what we. Had ordered and the owner spoke to me as though I was a child and being told off. He saw the evidence, which looked like they had mixed two left over curries together (lamb and chicken) and yet no apology. Wouldn't recommend to anyone (especially women), the manner he spoke to us was very much different when speaking to other people/men.

Nice, value for money.. This place is nice, and great value for money. Paneer tikka and the lamb dishes we ordered were good. I enjoyed the ice-cream dessert. Although simple the ice-cream was much better than the cheap tub ice-creams served in many of the restaurants on ladypool road. I would probably recommend and go back to this place. One of the better indian restaurants on ladypool road.

Best Balti in Britain. Been coming here for 15 years, took my girlfriend last night and had a great time, staff as lively and friendly as ever, food excellent and cheap as chips! We had Katlama, Chicken Pakora, Chicken Balti and a Chicken Jalfrezi, two naans and a plain rice, all excellent, we finished with Gulab Jamun and Chocolate Barfi and the bill came to £27, bargain!<br/>If I'm ever within a 50 mile radius of the Ladypool Road I'll be sure to go to Imran's, and you should too.
