We stumbled across this pub by chance, before swimming. We had drinks & light lunch, then booked to come back the same day for dinner! It was a lovely atmosphere, clean & tidy, the staff very helpful & smiley especially Sam! Well priced! Food was lovely, fresh & hot, carvery could do with some seasoning & the mash butter? But nice overall x

Met up with a friend for a quick meal. Good had gone up in price since I'd last gone. Meat good, veg not as hot but overall good. Free car park so long as you put car reg in screen at bar.

Went for a meal with my family and had the best experience. A waitress named Edith was attentive and so so friendly and was making sure the area was clean and tidy.
I opted for a carvery, which was cooked to perfection. Kaleem and Taylor also provided Excellent customer service and made sure I was satisfied with everything.

Great value for money. Good selection of veg and sauces. Meats I had (beef, gammon, pork) were cooked well. Definitely going to be my regular Sunday roast place.

Had breakfast on Saturday morning as part of a group of 20 golfers. Food was really good, top quality bacon and sausage. Buffet style, but chef was awesome and walked amongst our group offering additional items to ensure everyone was well fed. Staff were very friendly and looked after us well. Thank you!

The carvery was excellent, hot, well cooked and tasty. The service was first rate. The only downside was the people nearby had their mobiles on speakerphone and for 15 minutes we had to endure their 2 way conversation done at full volume. Next time I would ask a member of staff for help.

I came today for a friendship event.
The venue is lovely and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Carvery smelt inviting and ample parking (just remember to enter registration number at the bar)

Absolutely disgusted over priced and rude staff appalling standard of food greesy mushrooms bought out over cooked shrivelled and then replaced to be soaked in butter after paying £12 for breakfast n kids I only managed to eat 1 bacon - sausage my son didn’t eat his girl I complain to was rude and did not care one bit

This is fast becoming my favourite place to eat. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I have only had the pizza's so far which are freshly made to order (no microwave pizza's) which you get as much chips and salad with. I am definitely trying the carvery next time because the roasters look lovely

Used this place when it was known as The Knob years ago for family parties. First time in there for years. Disappointed. Staff, more life in a morgue, pool table being used as a table and also a place where locals could skin up. The smell of drugs overpowering. And when the bar person came over it was laughs and looking at phones.
Children were in the area. Staff more concerned at who hadn't turned up and feeding themselves.
One star for a bus stop outside to get me away from there!!!!!

Stayed at the Travelogue Maypole, need to find somewhere to eat and found this place. Nice Doombar Ale on tap. Staff very friendly, let my wife try a sample of cider. Food was hot and fresh, we only had burgers, very good, and helpful too fresh hot chips. Thanks salad bar was oos. But otherwise brilliant.

Never in all my life have I ever suffered such appalling service such as what we received today! Me, my partner, our little boy went to have a celebratory Easter meal as it’s our anniversary, this was completely ruined by the crown Kings Heath. The lack of staff around, no body to greet you, the building felt derelict. A sign saying sit down find your own table then order at the bar. No staff to be seen only laughter very loud coming from the food cooking room area, the staff gave plenty of time to obscond and lark around in the back but no time to do their jobs and service or greet customers, I had to play hunt for a staff member let along Easter egg hunt to be served. We ordered the three course Easter carvery menu. We waited in total 45 minutes for our starters and still not arrived. I had to again hunt for another staff member and spoke to a middle aged Indian woman who was clearly a novice and literary said to my face I don’t know what to do next, I went to get another collegue, Emma the one that served me however she was on another phone taking a personal call on the shop floor. I insisted to the other collegue look into this. Another 15 minutes passed and she came up to me and said your order was never put through. I immediately was in disgust, I showed her the reciept and said I had paid what ship are you running here? Another 5 minutes passed and she apologized and said it will be here shortly. We never received our starters until 1 hour and 10 minutes later! DARN RIGHT DISGUSTING! Our little boy was that hungry we had to go across the road to buy a jar of food forhim to eat, for the wait. When we went for our carvery main, the meat was dry and looked stale, the gravy was like water, my partners plate was floating! The roast potatoes was cremated and tasted vile, plain tasteless. Stuffing was rock hard you could of broken your teeth on it. All people were complaining there. The pub hardly had any customers and they ones that were there was complaining. Me and my partner only had two bites and left our main, and I ordered a king size... what a waste! For dessert they forgot us again and we never had a apology for it, I had to play hunt the staff member again, never received our dessert until 30 minutes later. And when I complained the women with long black hair in her 20’s slammed the desserts on our table and said here. What customer service is that??? In all my years I’ve never had such a shoddy poor service and meal such as today. And to top it off, we had ants wriddling over our table I had to squish. I demand my full money back plus compensation of ruining our Easter and our anniversary and also a letter in writing in the post or via email from your branch manager apologising for our experience plus a full investigation into this place as I will not rest until my voice is heard. If I don’t hear from you until 48 hours I will seek no alternative option but contact trading standards and the environmental health, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

Nice curb appeal but again another pub with capacity for a good selection of ale but nothing on except a Marstons ale offender. Nice layout though and will have a pint in there if I am ever around here, not today though

Staff couldn't tell the difference between a large and a medium carvery, advertised on menu as having a sausage, large yorkshire pudding and extra meat, only had 2 more slices than a medium and exact same size yorkshire pudding and didn't get a sausage. The stuffing was sloppy and flavorless, my carrots and peas were basically raw. Definitely wasn't worth just under £30 and wouldn't return.
