Food was excellent at this large Cafe/restaurant just 10mins walk from our cottage. Some staff could maybe be a bit cheerier but we all have off days at work. I had the double beef burger & my wife had a baked potato. Both were delicious. Decent sized menu & licenced as well. No non alcoholic beer which is unusual this day and age. Dog friendly as well. We'll be back to try the breakfast.

Looked inviting as we were passing so called in. Sat outside under canopy, patio heater above us and blankets provided in case you got cold. We both had toasties which were very good, mine was bacon, brie and cranberry and my friend had goats cheese and caramelised onion. Both with a side salad and coleslaw. We both had a large americano coffee which was good too and very large. Staff were very nice too. Enjoyed and would go again.

Spent a few days in Bowness and went to this cafe twice. First for a coffee then for breakfast. Enjoyed it both times. Bit of a squeeze inside if you have mobility issues but outside seating also available depending upon the weather.

We were greeted upon arrival and the food arrived really quickly. The vegan breakfast and full English breakfast were delicious, aside from the mushrooms being dry. The music was unobtrusive and staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.

Excellent well cooked breakfast served by a lovely friendly young lady in a small, but beautiful restaurant in a fantastic location a short walk from the lake. Well worth a visit.

Great breakfast here on Christmas Eve. Only a few tables inside, there were tables outside with blankets provided. Highly recommended

We stopped for lunch after finding what looked like a nice cafe & we were not left disappointed. The Full English was very tasty, the bacon was almost like a gammon steak but very nice & the sausage was very nicely seasoned. Would definitely pop in here for another Full Engish, if & when we are in Windermere again. Thank you Cafe Mio Mondo.

Food was great. But service was not up to the mark. We had to remind them about our order couple of times and still our order had missing items which in the end we cancelled it because everyone was finished with their breakfast.
