Now, we like fish, and we like chips. And what a treat Bardsley's fish and chips were.
Friendly, familiar service, generous large serve. We felt taken care of, like we couldn't possibly be in London. Maybe we should move to Brighton...
Thanks team.
I heard rumors that it is difficult to find a delicious restaurant, although it is famous enough to immediately remind me of fish and chips when I think of the UK.
I went on a one-day trip to Brighton, but the place I was originally going to went out of business, so I just went there.
I totally recommend it:D
Fish and chips that I eat for the first time in England. The fish meat was soft and the fried clothes were not thick, so it was good, and the seasoning was not salty. The fried fish, which is also cut with a fork, was soft but not broken, and the fries were crude, but they were light and large in quantity.
Above all, the good thing about this place is the employee. Thanks to the female employee who is kind, sweet, and smiles at me from ordering to payment, the late dinner alone became an unforgettable memory for me.
If I come to Brighton again, I will revisit. Thank you for making good memories for me.
Taste, service, and everything are perfect!
Really enjoyed our fish and chips with a fresh good portion of fish and proper chips. We had two glasses of wine shared s starter and even so I thought it was reasonable pricing. It may not have a sea view like the Regency but it was worth the effort to walk up to it. Can recommend the food and did notice that a lot of the people who seemed to be regulars had a large portion of fish and chips and split it between them rather than two separate medium sized portions. Probably saved on the cost?
Wow what a wonderful place! The food was delicious, service was amazing and they were lovely with our kids 🥰 best bit of all was battered veggie sausages! They were amazing!!!! Will be going back 😊
Fantastic fish and chips, best I’ve had in a while and definitely the best in the city of Brighton. The batter is nice, flakey, and crispy and the fish is super fresh - you can see the chef cutting each piece fresh before cooking and frying. The ladies serving here are absolutely sweethearts and you can definitely feel the hospitality when you go for a visit.
Had a fantastic cod and chips here yesterday. Fish was fresh, flakey and the batter was superb. Chips were also brilliant. Reasonable price too, would definitely recommend.
Fish cooked beautifully. You choose fried, grilled or poached. I had the special grilled and loved it. All five of us very happy. Some veggie options. Beer wine and spirits. Call ahead to be sure of a table, but walk-ins available.

Hands down the best fish and chips we've had in Brighton.
This great place offers eat or takeaway options and not just your regulars but some different fish that you can try. All can be battered, grilled or poached and is all made fresh to order.
I had the Cod and chips and it was great. Batter very light and crispy and chips were perfect.
Husband and his sister had catch of the day which was seabass. One battered and one grilled (in the pictures).
All can be washed down with a wide variety of drinks including local craft beers.
Bev our server was amazing. Bubbly and friendly. Really made it a great experience.
If your in Brighton and fancy some traditional fish and chips, look no further
Great restaurant! I liked the option to have grilled or poached fish, as sometimes you don’t fancy batter. It was delicious. And the service was very good too.
Fantastic fish and chips with curry sauce and mushy pees. In fairness, I don’t know what constitutes good mushy pees, but they were radioactive green, had the consistency of baby food and tasted like peas so I assume they were good.
The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and the chips were 100% carb goodness.
Staff were attentive albeit a bit reserved.
