Spent a very enjoyable evening at Shortt's on Friday night. Very quiet when we ambled in around 8.30 but filled out for the live music which started at 10pm. A friendly welcome from the bar staff and reasonable bar prices too. Worth a visit.

We stopped by for a quick drink but picked the wrong time as they were re-furbishing the place so we had to dodge the Decorators and the couldn't sit outside as they were relaying the patio.
However, we got a friendly welcome, the drinks were fine and not too expensive for Brighton and there are lots of very interested music posters on the ceiling. I hope that they don't go in the renovation!

Popped in here twice this weekend whilst we were in Brighton. Did help it was 2 minutes from our B+B. Nice vibe to the place! Friday evening the music seemed to be good old 90’s! Then Saturday evening we got 80’s! Only had a drink but loved the atmosphere! Barmen were friendly as well! Recommend if your in the area

Shortt’s was just a minute walk up the road from our AirB&B, so we started a mini-pub crawl into town here. There was a really friendly welcome from the bar-lady, who was extremely chatty. We were quite early on a Saturday so it was pretty empty but it soon filled up. Nice relaxed atmosphere and a great place to shelter from the rain. Only stayed for a pint but will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area. We really liked it here.

I don't really get some of the other reviews my wife and I went in Thursday night, it was open mic night never been here before but we will definitely return, the couple working that night were telling us all about the different events they have on, enjoyed the beer, the music and everything about the evening.
